This all sounds pretty good actually, with Vasya being out at the time and having a thread with Kostya at first until he gets back, a lil mush up and then Kostya fizzles out. I'm actually realising a pretty IC reason for Kostya stepping back would him actually finding out Kieren's dead (and also a suicide) since he's very likely going to have his bare arm on show

And boy that's probably gonna fuck Kostya up he might need to step back a minute :') sorry bud
