He doesn't say much at first, only a note of acknowledgement as he holds on tight and watches the opening of the hole get closer and the crisp air hit his lungs. He realizes then how protected he was from the wind and blustery weather being in there. But he doesn't want to be rude either. Peter took a great risk in coming to his rescue and the Viking is beyond appreciative.
