There's a brief moment where it looks like Hickey's going to punch Tom for touching his arm. The anger subsides, simply because it gives him the opportunity to shit-talk people. He's not entirely sure what this man is on, but this entire conversation is giving off 'took too much of the painkillers at once' vibes. He fully expects Tom to start giggling any time soon.

"There are people here who cling so close to their order, so close to what they already know, that it's actively hampering them. They don't know how to deal when a new variable's introduced. Sooner rather than later, it'll break them."
