"That's how it usually goes," she says with a resigned sigh. Something to look into later, then. "Ah, so not a complete net zero! How lovely to still create new experiences even in a place like this."

Obviously, it's still kind of a nightmare, but Amara's always been willing to look on the bright side. She's familiar with being stuck in a terrible place that takes everything away from you until you take it back.
