He was kind to her first, and I think anytime that happens, it endears her to that person. Something about him made her want to take care of him not in a mothering way, but like a...big sister sort of way. Not patronizing, but attempting to get him at least on the path to a healthier mindset.

I think it's because she was there, she let herself forget the good things, sank into the worst of it, and went a lil' legit crazy for a minute. She doesn't want him to go through that D:
