Ruby was genuinely nice. She just tended to shove all her own trauma down instead of actually face it, and sometimes that just left it to stew and boil over. She was still working through that.

But she's pleased to see she could get a laugh and a smile out of Max. She'd take whatever little victory she could get here.

"Oh. You are so on. And you're so going down when we get do it. Them's the rules." She may not have her powers here, but she is pretty confident she can rock a snowball fight.

But her silver eyes go soft though as Max describes how she feels about their situation. It wasn't exactly the easiest thing to be dropped into.

"Well. As long as we can agree there are worse people to be stuck with.

I had only just found my way home before I wound up here. I guess- I'm glad it's me stuck here rather than any of my friends. But if it's anything like last time, I'm guessing getting home isn't going to be straight forward." That might not exactly be the most optimistic response in the world and she pauses because she realizes it.

"But hey. We already got out of one mess here, right? We just have to keep watching other's backs and we'll get through it."
