Max is trying to do better at being considerate of the others on her team, but they definitely have things in common.

"Pal, huh? I've been demoted to pal," Max teases Ruby with a grin. "Okay, buddy. Remember that when I take you down with ice."

That frown returns to Ruby's words. "Serial killers, as in plural? I'm sorry you've run into that many of them. But yeah, social skills aren't something they're good with on the regular. Some of them can be very charming, though. Not the ones we just dealt with."

Max sighs. "I hope that's the case. Because I sort of left during something very important."
