Her mirth fades at the mention of a sister.

"Is your sister younger, or older? You have any other siblings?" She's not sharing that, yet.

"Yeah, going it alone isn't the best." Max's eyes flicker away, showing her discomfort about the topic.

Ruby's hand is allowed, and Max reaches up to put her hand over Ruby's.

"We will. And everyone else, too. I mean, everyone else can't possible be happy about just being stuck here."
