When they first met, before he remembered Lorick's words, Noel thought Arthur was maybe manic, or high, or some other mundane reason for not meeting his gaze and missing things right in front of him. The difference between those eyes and these is striking, and not just because of their colour.

It makes him nervous -- a lot about this scenario makes him nervous -- both familiar and not, gold rivers running through brown, and he tries to both table and hold on to that feeling just in case.

"Given," he echoes, then: "How'd you both get here?" And if he was more with it then that would sound perfectly casual, but he isn't, so it's searching.
