Every once in a while some type of animal goes insane and attacks at random. Before I got here it was wolves, a few months ago it was wild cats - like a lynx or something - and now this. Usually this stuff only lasts a few weeks, a month tops.

[Not that this helps them right now.]

But then of course there’ll be some new thing.
