[Teddy quirks an eyebrow at that, because on its face it is a slightly strange answer.

Then he continues, and she gets it. Appreciates it, too: it does make sense not to list things if half of them will seem like no big deal.

Besides, the few conversations they’ve had so far have been generically informative, not very specific or curious about Teddy themself. Even if it’s just to be more succinct, it’s kind of nice.]

…Depends.

[Teddy flashes a small, wry grin. He’s not trying to be a dick; it just turns out to be hard to describe worries anywhere without knowing what you’re comparing them to.]

I’m from — West Virginia. Uh, the United States, 2025. Home is... Pretty little. Not quite as far from anything as this place is? And we’ve got electricity, computers, cars, all that. But it felt pretty familiar coming in. I can tell just from the skyline there’s some kind of old mine out there, and that’s home for me: mountains and forests and mines. …Anyway, that’s not what you asked. Unless ‘mine collapses’ was on your list.

So what am I used to, like worries. Shit. I don’t know, money? Bigots? [Teddy huffs a laugh. She wants to joke Mothman but that’s not useful nor is it necessarily even a thing Bigby would get. She ticks off on her fingers.] Well, crap power grid, for sure, phones out - that’s pretty normal. Flash floods, landslides, weather stuff. Wildlife, I guess, if that counts. I like nature: my family are big on making sure we all know basic wilderness survival, including how to respect animals — and I learned to use a rifle when I was 8, so if nothing else, there’s that - but the first time I mentioned that bears come into the back yard sometimes when I was at college? Jesus. You’d’ve thought I said Godzilla wandered through.

[Teddy can tell they’re rambling. And also…]

…I feel like I’m not getting even close to what you were wondering about.
