Welcome to Singillatim!
Glad you could be here! We hope you have a great time here in the Quiet Apocalypse. Don't lose too many fingers, this weather bites. Feel free to use this post to introduce yourself and your character and get to know your fellow players! Once you're accepted into the communities, feel free to start posting!

Cheryl here and I'm bringing back Kieren from BBC's In The Flesh after dropping him back in July last year. Kieren was in Sing for nearly two years, in amongst the first round of Interlopers who arrived in the Northern Territories.

Kieren's coming back with a canon update where he's now from the end of Series 2. I'll post his recap on his canon update from his app here:

Kieren's new canon-point will be the end of Series 2, following the death of his best friend Amy and shortly after her funeral.

Kieren goes through a number of changes during this time. Reeling from the loss of Rick and his new life back in his hometown, he seeks escape and hides his true self — with Rick being murdered by his own father for doing the same. In between Series 1 and Series 2, he picks up a job as a bartender at The Legion, where he works to save money up to leave Roarton and travel abroad, so he can try to find somewhere to fit in France — aiming for PDS-friendly areas. His plans are scuppered on the day he leaves, when a travel ban is put in place for all PDS-sufferers — meaning Kieren must stay in Roarton.

He struggles with himself as a PDS-sufferer, piling on his cover-up mousse and never looking at himself in mirrors, afraid of what he might find. Amy returns, bringing along her new beau Simon — a PDS rights activist and disciple of the Undead Prophet. Kieren is drawn to him, and slowly falls in love. Through the continued mistreatment of PDS-sufferers via rising anti-sentiments, hypocrisy between the dead and the living's actions over the Rising, forced labour through a thinly-veiled 'give-back' scheme, along with growing relationship with Simon — Kieren begins to open his eyes, peeling back the layers of him hiding everything he is, even in a physical sense as he discards his cover-up mousse and contacts.

On the anniversary of the Rising, chaos unfolds when Kieren is set upon by Gary, Jem's boyfriend. He forces Kieren to take Blue Oblivion, a substance known to turn PDS-sufferers rabid. He succumbs, but resists — avoiding almost killing his father and being shot and killed by another village member. Amy is killed, having beginning to return to life, bleeding red blood and breathing — leaving Kieren bereft. Despite marred by more tragedy, Kieren comes to slowly accept himself — happy to remain in Roarton in Simon and no longer hiding himself.

He's still Kieren, but he's definitely a lot more at home with himself now. In addition, Kieren now no longers wears any of his coverup as a default — meaning he'll be looking like a literal corpse when walking about town, void of his cover-up mousse and contact lenses. He still has it with him, just in case.

He's... only sort of happy to be back. His friends are still kicking around, but Chloe died. He's also gutted to leave his new boyfriend behind too. But I am down to clown for the last few months of the game!
