Character Name: Fiddleford McGucket Canon: Gravity Falls
Wanted CR: Typical newbie answer of 'everything', but more specifically, Fiddleford is a person who craves interpersonal contact. He's already started making some great first impressions but literally any other adults to be friends/acquaintances would be awesome. He's in that weird in between space where it's very hard for him to trust anyone but he also wants to believe the best of everyone, so people who genuinely want to be his friend and people who want to try and manipulate him are both welcome.
I'm also thinking of having him start offering to process people's hunting hauls and/or teach them how to do it themselves, since he's already got one person interested in that and it's a skill that's very useful here and always going to be relevant. He grew up on a hog farm and in rural Tennessee so whatever you bring him there is like a 99% chance he knows how to make it into edible chunks.
You also have to unlock a couple levels of his Social Link for it, but anybody who would want to help him process his incredibly messy Divorce Feelings and/or his huge basket of mental health issues would be a delight. Maybe tell him pulling out your hair when you're stressed isn't a thing everyone does?
Unwanted CR: Honestly I cannot think of anything. I am pretty much open to whatever direction things go and my best CR often happens to me accidentally. Hit me with your best shot.
Event Ideas: I'm giving him Lightbringer because there is nothing a very volatile man who is already prone to extreme emotional reactions needs more than the ability to set shit on fire by existing near it. In his brain he'll be like oh cool like how I'm nice and helpful and can provide comfort to others like a warm fire :) but actually it's the aurora fully dragging his ass. Also this means if he ever gets a chance to get anything resembling his horrific 70s shirts back he won't have to hide them under three layers of coats. You will all have to experience them. Downside: he is extremely superstitious and does not like weird magical shit, so being the weird magical shit is going to take some time for him to come to terms with.
I'm waffling on Adust because on the one hand, Dad Emotions, and on the other this is a guy who holds his breath when walking past graveyards because if he doesn't then obviously a ghost is going to fly into his mouth. I don't think he'd go on his own but if someone else were to tell him there are kids in danger that might do it. Even if they are ghost kids.
Also waffling on the Visitor because I don't think anybody quite knows him well enough to be able to spot what is normal weird squirrely behavior from him and what is him being withdrawn and depressed. However I think there's a lot to be done with him reacting to this thing only he can see, because once it becomes clear ignoring it won't make it go away he'll just start getting agitated. You ever want to see a guy shouting at Literally Nothing? When he gets sad he doesn't get quiet and withdrawn, he gets angry and withdrawn, and if you want I would be happy to make that your problem. As always this would come with heavy themes of unreality/not being able to trust one's own mind, which is just kind of a constant thing with him, so tread lightly if that's something you don't want to deal with.
