His eyebrows lift despite his best intentions. He's not surprised that the line continued so much as he's surprised to find himself in a room (in a wild place, in a crazy painful fog, in this impossibility) with said continuance of the line. Of course he knew who Wyatt Earp was. There wasn't a good Marshal alive that wasn't familiar with the story, or at the very least, the version of the story that had survived through history.

"No shit." He didn't twitch towards his gun at all as she reaches for hers - he was good enough at reading people and he hadn't given her any offense or reason that he could think of. He eyes the piece and nods, impressed.

"Surprised somethin' made it into modern times outside of the name. You don't carry it like an asshole that doesn't know what they're doin'. How big a leap to guessin' that some of Great Grandpappy's skill carried down too?"

Some families were just Good at something. Raylan's was good at petty crime and cons, moonshine and murdering people, so he understood.
