Raylan bobs his head agreeably at the answer. Fair enough. He didn't know enough people or know enough about any of those people to feel any kind of way about it. There were all sorts of possibilities with folks, all sorts of reasons. All sorts of trauma.

"Doesn't sound odd at all." He could commiserate. If he'd been stuck in Harlan, if he'd been stolen when he was a young man, Milton would be an exciting challenge and he'd be all fire and steel. But age had only darkened his imagination to the ugly realities of what Man was capable of when they had nothing but surviving to hold onto and he was the way he was.

"Though I'm findin' it hard to imagine anyone here who wouldn't wanna see spring or summer again. And if we're all from different places, times, worlds.." There are other worlds than these. He was no where used to the idea but he could accept it as a fact of his current situation, selectively suspend his disbelief to save himself the frustration of having no answers for the daylight hours.
