Glad you could be here! We hope you have a great time here in the Quiet Apocalypse. Don't lose too many fingers, this weather bites. hello, everyone! i'm batty and i bring you senku ishigami from dr. stone. senku here is Extremely Passionate about science, has never met a challenge he wasn't ready to tackle head-on, and is the kind of normal and hinged person who reacts to being suddenly and inexplicably turned to stone by counting the seconds for 3700 years until he could break free without ever stopping or losing track, then immediately setting out to try to restore civilization by himself with only stone age tools at his disposal.

senku's the sort of guy who's great to have in your corner because he never gives up when he sets his mind to something, but you're also going to be trapped in so many science rambles. this is inescapable. he is also absolutely goddamn terrible at vulnerability of any kind and going to repress the shit out of his feelings about being forced to p. much start all over again a second time without his friends. there's Mysteries to Solve and problems to fix here, no time for little things like sadness to get in the way.

Hello hello Batty, welcome to the game! Jhey here, aka the Peter/Paimon player from Deer Country, it's great to bump into you again ♡ I'm keeping to my Horror Trend and I have two guys from horror canons here:

Edward Little from The Terror (a Victorian naval officer who is trying his best but is a very Sad Wet Dog of a man) and Konstantin Veshnyakov from the movie Sputnik (a charismatic cosmonaut from the 80's who ended up infested with an alien parasite).... In particular, I think Konstantin could be interesting to toss at your guy, since he's also very science-y and trying to solve all the mysteries here, while trying to hide the fact he has a gnarly bloodthirsty alien :'D

i think senku would get along great w your cosmonaut :D his adoptive father was an astronaut, and senku has some big feelings about it because he'll never see him again. (tldr he was in space when the petrification disaster happened and so died of old age thousands of years before canon begins)

he'll also be fascinated by the parasite if he finds out tbh.

also!! one of his closest allies is a ship captain so that cr would also be neat, even if edward sounds like he's SUPER different from ryusui

Ohhhh my gosh I am living for those themes!!! Coincidentally, Konstantin has a son he (unknowingly at the time) abandoned, and perpetually carries guilt about. He even considers his alien situation his "punishment" for abandoning his son and zooming off to space, so!!! A nifty little connective theme there that could be juicy to work with, nice to meet you "I have sads about my adoptive spaceman father", I'm "a spaceman with sads about my son" :'DD And the parasite is here with him in game and causing all kinds of problems, so it could definitely come up!

And totally down to toss Edward at him sometime too, he'd be very interested to learn more about other ships and if anyone else on them might have experienced some of the kinds of Supernatural Horrors that his own did.

Welcome here Batty! Ok my gosh, I'm canonblind but Senku looks like a pretty cool character? I'd love to hit him up with mine, Erichthonios, since he's also rather passionate about science- he just comes from a world with magicks so his knowledge of things is rather far from 'normal'. He would absolutely sit down and listen to all of Senku's scientific rambles! Erich would be very interested to learn from him.

senku will be delighted to have a Science Buddy, especially without his friend chrome here. also fun fact senku canonly says that anything with rules is science so i can imagine they'd have some hilarious conversations about 'magic', especially if it's one of the magic systems that's more structured.

Erich will love him. He's the diligent scholar who will try to tkae all the notes he can and bring in his commentary. And yes, Erich's magic system is well structured with 10 years worth of MMO lore where Aether (Magic) IS science for them. Erich is currently leaning a bit more toward asking people to teach him medicine, lately, since he wants to be a bit useful, but Senku can expect to have a random redhead be like :heart eyes: toward any complex scientific topic he may throw at Erich.
