Character Name: The Doctor
Canon: Doctor Who
Residence: A good chunk of the time, a cabin in Lakeside, but when he's in Milton he'll shelter in the Community Hall.
Notable CR: Thomas Jopson (he has An Emotion about him), Peter Parker, Billy Gibson, Randvi, Chloe, Ruby, Wormy (lol) and then he's met a handful of others (the Levi(s), Daisy, Lalo, Raylan), I'm just always eager to deepen more CR!
Skills: Academic knowledge, not technically a medical doctor, but he has a lot of knowledge about anatomy/physiology that can be helpful depending, Venusian Aikido lol hilarious if this ever came up, tinkerer/builder/engineer, the stubborn ability to cling to hope in most situations, scientific knowledge, skilled with a sword & could use a gun if he had to but ugh weapons :c he's better at thinking through ways to outmaneuver threats altogether, or diplomacy & negotiation.

Wanted CR:

• People to get into "accidental" trouble (danger) with purely in the pursuit of knowledge and no other reasons

• Friends!! Lots of friends! With friendships with the Doctor, it's easy to go from "this is the most bizarre conversation of my life" to "now we're buds for life"

Unwanted CR: I really am open to anything!

Day to Day:
He will always find ways to pass the time and rarely stops until pesky things like sleep demand attention. It is a long journey back and forth between Milton so he's not passing between both areas every week or anything, but at least twice per month he'll be over in Milton, sometimes staying longer, it just depends on the weather, of course. He is terrible at self-preservation, but sense usually does kick in eventually. His primary thought is being of use and help however he can be, so he's out and about gathering supplies and whatever he finds that can be of use to others, he'll bring to the Community Hall. Basically, it's easy to catch him wherever you want to catch him, he's an exceedingly social creature.

The Story So Far / Plans:
Lately he's been deep into puzzling out Sam's journal after his hike up to the Lookout Tower with Jopson. And working out ways to make new types of food (like acorn bread lol). A big focus right now will be thinking ahead to be as prepared as they can be. That little lull of sorts with the sun and slightly warmer weather won't last, and he just wants to be sure he's done what he can to protect everyone else. I have some loose thoughts I haven't done a ton with yet, but would love buddies for him on various projects maybe down the line as becomes necessary:
➙ He's made a few rudimentary seismographs to study the recent earthquakes;
➙ All the pipes are working well now, so that's great, but what about backup plans when those degrade? Along with having a water filtration system should they ever need it en masse;
➙ Anyone in Milton who'd be interested in agreeing to do a check-in every time there's an Aurora and the radios work - just hey you still alive over there?
➙ Goes to the maintenance yard sometimes to build things that might be handy for people if they ever get lost/in a bad way when they're out and about, like whistles or signal mirrors, etc. He'll drop those off in Community Hall so you can always grab one! (I will post on the community board about that.)
➙ Ideas for more sustainable food sources, let's brainstorm, friends~

It takes so long to make it, too, lol 'tis a bonding opportunity in the making. And they deserve a treat too of course so yes to pancakes!

I looked up the process and GOOD GOD it is SO MUCH. dfgkjhdgf yeah, only Kate and the Doctor could have the patience for that shit. So yeah 100% going to be A Time

He always appreciates the excitement in all forms!! Acorn bread + gooseberry spread...if only they could get a hold of peanuts somehow, they could get close to something that's like, PB&J-adjacent.

Wormy's alien pal... genuinely very excited to do more with The Doctor, despite my slow butt!! I think Kostya could definitely team up with him for some Tinkering / Science-y things in the future (he'll also be so interested to pick his brain about all sorts of space adventure things), and also I love the idea of him getting some true Alien Help from The Doctor, as he's going to start slowly trying to tell more people about this / introduce it more so that he can in turn keep people safe from it. Having someone like him to lean on about it would be so much, so possibly some Mentor Flavouring / Alien Worm Trainer and/or Babysitter.. I'm laughing at the mental image of Kostya like letting him watch this thing sometimes when it's getting restless FKF;F

Absolute same, I'm very excited to do more with them too! And worry not friend, we are on the slow train together, just kicking my own slow butt into gear more this month. There are so many awesome possibilities with things they could connect on so I'm looking forward to all of it! He would also love to provide some Alien Help however he can, he's deeply Concerned about Kostya's wellbeing, but also...concerned about Wormy lol he can't help it, he's a softie for all creatures unless and until they cause anyone harm. :c He would 100% be happy to be leaned on and be a mentor, and play Alien Worm Trainer and Babysitter and I am absolutely dying at the image of it, too. This is one of those times I desperately wish I had any artistic talent whatsoever, it would be hilarious to draw it.

Yes, absolutely would love this! I've got an open log for August if you want to possibly throw them at each other around the time of Methuselah's Feast if Snow would be there, or they could easily just bump into each other around the Community Hall or elsewhere in Milton!

If you like, we could assume he's seen her around when he's in Milton and he's super easy to mash with people in that sense because he'll take vague knowledge of someone as a cue to be their friend LOL. But no pressure!

Okay there is a lot here but I would love for Ruby and The doctor to mess around in the maintenance yard together.

She's down to get into accidental trouble for adventure as opposed to knowledge.

Levi isn't exactly science-y but he historically gets along well with that type (often by following and scruffing them out of innate danger) and their meeting thread is going pretty well, so I'd love to do more with them in the future! He'd probably agree to be a lackey assistant for things like water filtration efforts or radio check-ins too, since he sees the benefit in them.
