Benton Fraser (& Dief) | Due South

Character Name: Benton Fraser
Canon: Due South
Residence: Fraser occasionally camps in the woods but can most regularly be found at 16 Thompson's Drive. Lately, Sveta's been staying with him, so he's more likely to be there.
Notable CR: Sveta (girlfriend), Kate (a nice girl; he is oblivious to her crush), the various Terrors (he's a Franklin Expedition fanboy), Randvi (gave him a shovel talk that went completely over his head), Bigby (bad cop to his good cop), Levi (a young man whom Fraser admires and who thinks he's hopelessly, unrealistically optimistic)... honestly most people in town know him for one reason or another.
Skills: Fraser is a Mountie who grew up and worked in an area very similar to this one (minus the supernatural fuckery) for most of his life, and has an encyclopedic knowledge of local flora and fauna, hunting, trapping, curing, etc. along with other survival skills. He is also exceptionally observant, and can usually draw accurate conclusions from what may seem like minimal clues, Sherlock Holmes style. A non-complete list of his skills includes:

Wanted CR: Friends, people he can help with hunting/food gathering & preservation/emotional turmoil, people who can teach him new things.
Unwanted CR: Fraser is happily monogamous with Sveta, so other romance is off the table. Otherwise, I'm good with pretty much anything, although if you want negative CR with Fraser it might be unsatisfying; he's usually pretty philosophical about these things.

Day to Day: As the short autumn begins to lengthen into winter, Fraser is putting most of his energy into making sure people have food. He'll be hunting, looking for large land animals like caribou and moose, and probably assisting with Crozier's fish weirs if possible. Along with hunting, he'll be fixing up the smokers he and Levi built last winter and preserving meat for community use throughout the winter months. He'll also be offering to help people prepare their homes for winter by stopping up leaks and fixing windows.

When he isn't helping prep for the winter, he can be found on his porch playing guitar or whittling, or outside training the three wolfdog puppies that have been left without owners. If nobody adopts them, he'll train them to pull a sledge. Diefenbaker, his deaf half-wolf, will accompany him pretty much everywhere he goes, but also goes around town on his own.

The Story So Far / Plans: Fraser's taken a more reactive role in the community, but he's worried about all the violence over the summer and is thinking seriously about reaching out to various people to discuss creating some kind of social contract for them all to abide by. He's well aware people might balk at it coming from him, so is considering bringing together people who, for lack of better terms, represent various factions so everyone has a voice. He's worried that if they wait too long, more Interloper murder and violence will be committed and they still won't have any methodology for dealing with it.

I didn't get around to tagging Fraser in September so definitely need to throw these two together this month! Charles is definitely looking to improve his hopeless survival skills so we could totally do something with that.

Having some kind of legal system/dispute resolution is something Randvi has been concerned about for a long time too. She's just just have a duel and get over it lol, but that's why these meetings have multiple representatives.

Wynonna Earp | Syfy's Wynonna Earp

Canon: Wynonna Earp
Residence: She splits her time between her cabin in the Milton outskirts and Jackrabbit Cabin in Lakeside.
Notable CR: Holland March (her guy, she's wearing a wedding ring he gave her but it's Not Like That); Edward Little (recent catalyst for an Oh Fuck, Feelings moment); Kate Marsh, Ruby Rose (lil sis collection); Bigby (bossman); Thomas Jopson (roomie, she's ride or die for him, harm him at your peril); Louis LongName (drinking buddy); John Irving (filling her quota for prissy ineffective Naval officers); Mal (fight club); Raylan Givens (hat)
Skills: Shooting things, drinking things, punching things, breaking things. Has made Edward Little smile and is 100% counting that as a skill.
Aurora Feat: Moon-Touched

Wanted CR: Wynonna's due for a round of spiraling and self-sabotage, so: people she can make bad decisions with, drinking buddies, brawling buddies. She's great if you want someone to make things worse or if you just want some fun with a loose cannon.
Unwanted CR: She recently came to an extremely annoying self-realization regarding feelings and is unlikely to develop a romance with anyone new. This doesn't mean she won't sleep with people about it, so if anyone wants a no-strings attached, likely alcohol-fueled one night stand, she's available!

Day to Day: She can be found around Milton and Lakeside and is sometimes out in the woods in wolf form. If your character is looking for booze, she'll make herself available to get some to them.

The Story So Far / Plans:

— Wynonna had a tough summer. She killed a man to defend Louis, and is still feeling some kind of way about it. She opened up about her foundational trauma to Little, then relieved that same trauma via memory-sharing tea with March. The tea also allowed Irving, Ruby, and Kate to witness some of Wynonna's demon-hunting moments from home.

— Just to rub salt in the wound, the September Aurora forced her to listen to her father's voice and left her his deputy badge. She gave the badge to March and is holding onto the wedding ring he got in return.

— Forest Talkers tried to burn down the cabin she shares with Jopson. That was a mistake.

— During the attack, she arrived on the scene just in time to see Edward Little get fatally stabbed and proceeded to lose her fucking mind. After messily murdering the FT responsible, she dragged Little to safety and ran off to get the Doctor to heal him, not realizing Kate was healing him while she was gone. This was a huge moment for Wynonna and clarified some of her confusing feelings about Little. Obviously she hates this and it has resulted in a whole lot of inner conflict for her. She's also extremely disappointed in herself for catching feelings for the most pathetic man in multiple universes.

— All this to say: she's not doing so hot. The people she cares most about all got hurt or were in terrible danger and she couldn't help them all; her trauma about her father and Willa is lying very close to the surface; she's committed some egregious acts of violence and has blood on her hands; she's having nightmares, drinking too much, and is tired from going back and forth between Milton and Lakeside. She's primed to snap, but at least it might make for some fun along the way.
