Take advantage of them for what exactly? The food's free, the liquor's free, we get our pick of empty houses... what exactly do you think you've got that's worth my effort at playing nice?

Really bad people, truly evil people, they get off on other people's suffering. For its own sake. Trust me. I known a few of 'em. Real monsters, the kind that make your blood freeze and the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end... the money, the liquor, the food, none of it is the point to them. The suffering is what they're really after. They don't steal for money. They steal to have an excuse to shoot somebody.

Me personally, I don't see the point in making people suffer for no reason. Not if I don't get anything out of it. Kinda like you, I suppose. But some people, they do.

Yeah, I've known people like that. Psychopaths who get off on cuttin' people up, who like startin' fires, sure. I won't argue that they're evil, and that the world's not a better place when folks like that get dumped in a ditch outside of town.

But let me tell you, the most evil bastard I ever met wasn't gettin' off on causing suffering. You have to care about the people you're killing in order to care about their pain, and he was above that. Real evil, you can't bargain with, because you've got nothin' they want. You're just in their way.
