[ He's not making fun of her! Sure, it's so far away from how Bigby.. usually socializes.. But he's got the gist very well by now that Kate's just a very sweet girl, making it a lot less surprising. ]

Like... people need hugs sometimes. My friend Max would offer me one and it would just be totally what I needed at the time. It goes for people here, too. Probably a whole lot more, considering... everything.

And that also extends to people who... also happen to be wolves.

[ Especially when Bigby hasn't even been part of a pack since long ago. And even back then, his brothers didn't care much for him.. ]

And even now I'm human.. I guess most people either dislike me, or they wouldn't want to hug me because of what I am. Most people don't hug law enforcement, y'know? [ Hell, Kate, you're even the only person in town who shows him respect for it.. ] I've never really thought much about hugs 'cause of it, but..

I mean... I guess that makes sense. Like, I can see why you might think like that. [ It's a... kinda tricky thing and she's contemplative for a short while, mulling it over. ]

Well, here it could be different. Like, you're a wolf but you're a person, too? [ Person-shaped wolf...? But yeah, this doesn't have to been exactly like how it is back home, and she's smiling a little. ]

Totally no pressure. But if sometimes you feel like you might need a hug, it's totally okay to ask.
