— decide which one your character would like to fuck (or hug for the wee ones), marry, or kill
— respond appropriately
— shenanigans ensue

[ Oh poor buddy. Lalo doesn't know you, but he can tell from your responses to other people that you're not cut out for this.

Fortunately you're a fellow Edward, so he'll be nice. Lalo grins. ]

Handshake! [ It's the option he's been offering to other men when he feels like even a hug might be crossing some lines. ]

[ Ah, now that is something that is certainly much more within his comfort zone! Relieved, Edward will offer a gloved hand to do just that, and giving a soft exhale of breath. ]

That sounds ideal. I haven't the faintest idea how people manage to play this..... "game" and keep their senses about them.

[ Lalo will happily shake his head back. ]

Take a deep breath. Relax. [ He demonstrates. Lets his chest puff out as in hales, then shrink down as he exhales. ] It might help to think of it like this: did you ever play pretend when you were a kid?

[ Ah — this is something he's been exposed to once, here! By someone else trying to help him breathe... He's frequently so nervous....

So he follows the demonstration, in and then out, slowly... Once again, it helps. ]

Pretend...? Ah yes, my sisters in particular would play such games and often liked to draw me into them....

[ Pretending that he was their husband or whatnot, as children do... ]

There you go! Good job. You're doing it! [ Lalo sounds very proud and encouraging, and he gives Little a light, encouraging clap on the shoulder. ] Just in and out, in and out.

So... maybe it's helpful to think about this as just pretend. Not real. Then it's kinda fun, right?
