Does that mean you have cause to inherit his empire if something were to happen to him?

[ Since he seems accepting of the comparison that he's the equivalent of a prince in his current position, then perhaps she won't be mistaken in assuming that he stands in very close proximity to the seat of power.

[ For a moment, Lalo looks genuinely taken aback. Something?? Happen to Tio Hector?? Perish the thought. Lalo would never let that happen. ]

In a sense, yes. It's a little more complicated than that. There are other people to consider too, in my line of work. But he's my favorite uncle. I'd never let anything bad happen to him. [ Well. Nothing else bad, anyway. Something very bad has already happened to Hector, and it feels Lalo with grief and heartache, not glee. ]

Me? Never. I would never want to disappoint an angel like you.
