With the recent events that have transpired in regards to Young Bill's plan to starve out the Forest Talkers — the eco-terrorist group that has been hounding him and leaving macabre scenes all over the Lakeside area, Interlopers have called a town meeting to discuss what to do on this.

Rather than playing out the Town Meeting, like with the Darkwalker's second attack, consider this post an OOC post of that meeting, for players to share their character's thoughts and feelings on the situation — along with the best approach in regards to Young Bill's proposal.

Players are free to thread out scenes from the Town Meeting in their own event toplevels/open posts if they wish to do so — but this is more of a quick catchall on character's thoughts that's more accessible to everyone — and players can have their characters +1 ideas they agree with!

Character Thoughts/Ideas: Lalo thinks that both Young Bill's plan and this hostage-taking plan are likely to invite retaliation and that there should be a focus on fortifying safe places in Milton should any of the forest talkers decide to seek revenge on Milton. He's sympathetic to people wanting info and he's not going to try to interfere with either the hostage-taking or anyone who wants to loot caches (he can def see a benefit to gathering supplies for themselves and especially depriving the forest talkers of ammo) but he won't be getting involved in either himself. He will make sure the others know both options are likely to invite retaliation.

Lalo is familiar with cartel justice and how quickly conflict situations can escalate, especially involving people who are desperate and/or considering themselves out of options, and how one small perceived insult can explode into all-out war. As far as he's concerned, neither Young Bill nor the forest talkers can be trusted, and the Interlopers should be way of getting too heavily involved with either. He thinks, in addition to fortify safe areas in Miltion for those who can't fight, the Interlopers should be making sure they know who can fight in case they need to.

Oh, and of course, he won't share his crazy cartel brain stuff with anybody else, though! He's just a concerned citizen who hates violence and wants everybody to be safe, you guys.

Regardless of what ends up happening, fortifying locations for defense purposes is a very good idea that Jim would openly support. That, and figuring out who can fight, since that may very well become necessary in the future.

Thank you, Jim. He appreciates your support! Maybe he and Jim (and whoever else wants to help) can try to figure out how many fights, medics, injured and kids are around and where they are in the event of an attack...

Levi doesn't think the FTs need reasons for retaliation, especially considering the Interlopers are retaliating to them about stuff they've already been doing. Instead he thinks they should be acting like it's going to happen either way :) just in case of course, violence is terrible (that monkey meme)

Oooh, hyodram is a good idea! Lalo will prob be focused on Milton but he'd support fortifying the hydrodam for people staying in Lakeside.

Of course, we all hate violence. :) What kind of nasty person wants that??? Lalo might suggest that since Levi is already spying on their camp, Levi teaming up with somebody who has Aurora Call (if there's anybody available) who can let everyone know if they FT's start acting weird/seem like they're gearing up for a big attack.

You know, just to avoid violence happening. :) Since nobody wants that.

While Levi doesn't particularly want to stay out there forever, it's not a bad idea. They could possibly come up with a rotating watch or something.

(It would be hilarious if Rorschach came along with him but Levi would hate every moment)
