With the recent events that have transpired in regards to Young Bill's plan to starve out the Forest Talkers — the eco-terrorist group that has been hounding him and leaving macabre scenes all over the Lakeside area, Interlopers have called a town meeting to discuss what to do on this.

Rather than playing out the Town Meeting, like with the Darkwalker's second attack, consider this post an OOC post of that meeting, for players to share their character's thoughts and feelings on the situation — along with the best approach in regards to Young Bill's proposal.

Players are free to thread out scenes from the Town Meeting in their own event toplevels/open posts if they wish to do so — but this is more of a quick catchall on character's thoughts that's more accessible to everyone — and players can have their characters +1 ideas they agree with!

Character Thoughts/Ideas:

— Wynonna has no skin in the game re: Young Bill. He's just like a bunch of weird hermits she knows back home and she's not interested in being his weapon against the Forest Talkers, especially if he's sitting it out after giving them a map to the caches. That smacks of him setting them up to take the fall with the Forest Talkers.

— The Forest Talkers shot Wynonna and Ruby, and she's still mad about it, but more importantly, she will strongly suggest that anyone who does go for the caches, even if they only intend to leave notes, ought to bring someone along with them who is a. armed and b. willing to use those arms against attack. The Forest Talkers shot her and Ruby from the trees and never came in sight, so whoever's acting as security needs to be ready for a surprise ambush and a target that won't show itself.

— She will offer herself as a gunhand for people who want to go to the caches. She's still in pretty rough shape, but she has a gun and she's willing to use it.

— Wynonna is absolutely, stubbornly against escalating matters by attempting to kidnap a Forest Talker. If pressed, she'll say she knows something about the cycles of revenge and how they never end, so it's better to just not begin them.

— She'll be annoyed about it, because she definitely does still want to fuck the Forest Talkers up for shooting her and Ruby, but she's pretty sure she can see which way the wind is blowing here.

Lalo agrees with:

Lalo agrees with this in theory, but in practice, he doesn't think the people intent on going through with through with their kidnapping plans can be talked out if it at this point so he'd rather just focus on fortifying safe places to hide when if the Forest Talkers retaliate. Especially since the cache-raiding seems likely to be bring about retaliation on its own anyway.

Lalo disagrees with:

Wynonna will agree with Lalo that people who are set on doing it will just do it and they should probably prep for retaliation. Time to start setting traps!
