Town Meeting

Town Meeting

Town Meeting

With the recent events that have transpired in regards to Young Bill's plan to starve out the Forest Talkers — the eco-terrorist group that has been hounding him and leaving macabre scenes all over the Lakeside area, Interlopers have called a town meeting to discuss what to do on this.

Rather than playing out the Town Meeting, like with the Darkwalker's second attack, consider this post an OOC post of that meeting, for players to share their character's thoughts and feelings on the situation — along with the best approach in regards to Young Bill's proposal.

Players are free to thread out scenes from the Town Meeting in their own event toplevels/open posts if they wish to do so — but this is more of a quick catchall on character's thoughts that's more accessible to everyone — and players can have their characters +1 ideas they agree with!

Please fill out the following form.

EDIT: THERE IS A POLL FOR INTERLOPERS TO VOTE ON

Damian will scoff at the idea that he couldn't pull off a simple kidnapping on the first try. Over a thousand confirmed kills etc.

He will say that that's why he suggests releasing the Talker with a message to the rest. They can assess how open to reason the Talkers seem to be from the prisoner and then after getting some information by forcing them to communicate on what they're doing, what's going on with them, what they know about the forces at work, etc, then they release the prisoner as a show of good faith. Ideally without subjecting said prisoner to inhumane conditions.

A child kidnapping a member of a cult we don't know anything about who may or may not also have been gifted special powers does sound like a recipe for success, it's true.

How is he planning on forcing them to do anything without subjecting them to inhumane conditions? Or is his limit for inhumane kind of non-standard.

You don't understand. He's built different.

At the very least he's not at all concerned about whatever threat they may pose to HIS safety.

Interrogation doesn't necessarily have to be unethical. That's what he'd say but he wouldn't really consider Batman esque psychological torment and strongarming to be unethical. Still, ideally, they wouldn't have to resort to that. It really just depends on the state of them.
