Skills: despite all the dying he did in his trials, he's not actually that bad at surviving. i know that sounds pretty unbelievable but look he died because he was saving people, there's a difference! if you need somebody to hit something with a bat, he's your guy. he can keep going even when odds seem grim. he doesn't shut down during intense situations.
Wanted CR: friends would be the best for him right about now. calming presence types that will even him out. someone he can trust enough to crack into his dead by daylight traumas. people that will remind him to eat food and stop throwing his body in front of the danger if he can help it. my dream cr wise is accumulating strong enough cr for body heat tropes

Day to Day: steve sticks at the hall because for now there are people there and he doesn't want to be alone. as that empties out he will likely find somewhere else to stay. he will go out and snoop around during daylight hours. anything helpful or useful he finds scavenging, he brings back to the hall. if your char can't go out and look for things, or needs an errand boy, steve is happy to complete fetch quests for exposure alone, what a sucker.
The Story So Far / Plans: he got slightly injured in the event, things are weird with eddie, and he is very quietly shellshocked waiting for freddy kreuger to show up no i am not joking. plans... i don't have plans!!! not really. steve and i are both just vibin as this is my first time back in a game in a long time! if ur char needs someone to boss around, steve is available. he will probably only bitch about it a little.

Residence: He's splitting his time between a house in town and the Community Hall because he can't actually take care of himself well enough to live alone. Actively looking for a roommate.
Notable CR: Holland March, trusted drinking buddy. He respects Thirteen as the doctor (other doctors will have a hard time convincing him that they have authority unless she vouches for him) and Five as the general (he hasn't seen anyone else volunteering to take charge and organize efforts, so), so apparently he only respects people who go by numbers.
Skills:
• Knowledge of bird behavior and habitats. Tracking and live-capture.
• Familiarity with mountain terrain.
• Basic field medicine.
• Administrative management, including food storage, transport, construction and maintenance. He doesn't know how to do things but he does know how to organize people to do things.
• Hand to hand combat basics, including sabers and war fans. He's not very good at combat and will try to avoid it, but he does know the very basics.

Friends: Huaisang wants to be friends (or at the very least thought of as tolerable and harmless) with everyone.
Anyone who will protect him, feed him, spoil him, help him survive, in any capacity: He's used to being a spoiled nobleman's younger son and will gladly impose on others if it means he can avoid work.
Flirty Friends/Lovers: Huaisang will flirt with everyone and everything. He's more comfortable around other men, but he is pansexual and takes a pretty casual approach to things. He will assume that any flirtation (or more) is casual and not exclusive unless other terms are specifically discussed.
Unwanted CR: I prefer to avoid negative CR if possible! I'm fine with initially negative CR that has the chance to develop into something more, and I know that sometimes things will happen and a thread might take an unexpected turn to make our characters dislike each other, but I'd prefer to avoid things that we expect to turn sour.
Day to Day: Huaisang spends a lot of time at the Community Hall because he's assigned himself the responsibilities of monitoring (and encouraging people to use) the message board (thank you mods) that he set up with Five, and keeping the fire burning. That and some basic field medicine are just about his only applicable survival skills, so he's pretty sure the best thing he can do is to keep the home fires burning. If you want to stumble in out of the cold he'll have a warm fire, mugs of hot water (sorry he hasn't been convinced on the coffee yet and can't find any acceptable tea, so it's hot water for everyone), and the ability to triage injuries until one of the real doctors can be found.
The Story So Far / Plans: Huaisang wants to set up a house of his own but knows he can't live on his own. So he'll be actively interested in seeking roommates (especially roommates who are willing to do
mostall of the cooking and cleaning).Huaisang and Holland March have prioritized finding and hoarding alcohol, but they know that's a finite resource so their current project is figuring out how to brew (and eventually how to distill). Anyone who can help them do this successfully so that they don't literally go blind from bathtub gin would be great.

Residence: A three-bedroom house that he has claimed for his own.
Notable CR: Little & Goodsir (canonmates, probably thinking of ways that they can just leave him to die in the woods), Kieren (thank you for telling him what planes are, always welcome in the inevitable gang), Thomas Richardson (practically a part of the inevitable gang already), Rei (petty rivalry, u suck).
Skills: Caulking, stabbing, basic Arctic survival.
Wanted CR: Friends, hunting buddies, even more petty rivalries. Anything and everything, gang! Roomies would be nice, though they must have a high tolerance for someone's inability to do things like "cleaning" or "basic chores." Any Victorian friends. Any modern people who can explain things like 'television.' I also have zero clue how this is going to come up, considering that Hickey is keeping a VERY TIGHT LID on his sexuality but somebody needs to tell this man that homosexuality isn't criminalized anymore.
Unwanted CR: I'm down for most things! Hickey is a slimy little toad so feel free to get bad vibes off of him, though his most heinous crimes are still on the down-low / only known to Terror cast at the moment.
Day to Day: Having stolen anything he can get his grubby little hands on, Hickey's main goal at the moment is "we are going to run out of food eventually and I'm not going to be the loser who's left to starve when that happens." He's splitting his time between breaking into any house that looks abandoned to try and steal some tinned food + going out into the woods to try and hunt. He is not the best at hunting but he is the best at making the most out of whatever prey he can capture. Look at all these parts of a squirrel you can eat!
The Story So Far / Plans: Hickey is going to inevitably try and start up his little mutineers gang he had in canon. Because look at him, he knows about the Arctic! :) He's just such a swell dude. :) Come hang out with him, he'll keep you alive, has zero scruples, and will do whatever it takes to stay alive—and that includes keeping his brand new

Edward Little ⚓ The Terror

Residence: Currently, a modest, sad little cabin on the outskirts of town.
Notable CR: Cornelius Hickey (canonmate, fiend, Edward is trying very hard to Keep An Eye on him); Harry Goodsir (canonmate, on ??? terms, currently the only person here who knows The Worst Things that Little has ever done!); Kate Marsh (Nanny Nedward's precious duckling, you can catch him listening to her playing violin at the community hall like nightly); Kieren Walker (reminds Edward of sad sickly ships' boys, keeping an eye on him to make sure he doesn't Go Feral, chewing extremely uncomfortably on Kieren's proposed idea of Putting Him Down if necessary); a sprinkle of other folks he has come into contact with a few times that I am looking forward to developing further!
Skills: Edward is a first lieutenant of the Royal Navy, and so comes with extensive training as a senior officer. He was also a member of the doomed Franklin Expedition, so he's coming into this setting with some years' experience with survival horror out in the frigid Arctic (living in cramped ship quarters, having to ration dwindling supplies, and dealing with various Frozen Landscape Terrors! He also has had some encounters with a Supernatural Spooky Thing, although vaguely-defined and he isn't certain if it was truly Supernatural or not...)
Wanted CR: Literally anything.... others from Olden Times (he's from Victorian 1840's), modern folks to teach him about weird shit, people around his age (36), folks for him to Sadly Nanny... As An Officer™ he is used to having a steward help him out with things so I think it'd be kind of a cute angle if someone could provide that sort of role in his life (help him tame his wayward muttonchops please, also he probably forgets how to eat a lot and/or experiences periods of Traumatic Food-related Episodes... also potentially helping with his Lead Poisoning Effects), fellow military types, fellow Softe People.... or Hardened People to counter/challenge/possibly even forge an unlikely team-up with his Softeness....

Day to Day: The very proper Lieutenant Little is coping by trying very hard to fall back to what he knows best, so he can be found on a daily basis doing patrols around the town and its outskirts in his very Professional Uniform, attempting to keep order. This means he will step in if anything seems Amiss (though if something gets too Amiss, he might start dissociating and crumble completely, it's totally fine). I imagine he will be trying to introduce himself to people and just generally get to know who all is here and keep track of them...
The Story So Far / Plans: Mostly event-related shenanigans; I have those plans here here if anyone would still like to Do A Thing. Although since posting this, I've decided not to have him actually fall to the Voice's influence in the immediate future! It may be something I explore a bit later on in the month, if that. Certainly he'll be haunted by it to a pretty bad extent, but I think he might be able to stave anything too extreme off by swallowing it all down as fiercely as he always has. This time, anyway. :)
As far as future plans, I'm just kind of taking it slowly and seeing how things go / fleshing out his progress organically. I'd like to continue getting him more involved with helping others around here, while he consistently struggles heavily with his own guilts and regrets, which is always a fun time! And just generally building cr ♡

Notable CR: I'm getting him out there to interact with a few people. He's relatively friendly thus far with Eddie Munson (fellow outcast teen) and Cornelius Hickey (telling him all about the future!!). He is exasperated (and lowkey terrified) of Holland March (he's onto Kieren....) and he's also being fretted over by Edward Little.
Skills: Kieren is perceptive, and empathetic. In terms of physical skills he's pretty artistic (enough to get into Art School before his Untimely Demise) and there's also the fact he is very, very undead — which he's trying to hide from people.
Wanted CR: Anything and everything. Friends would be great. Kieren's a sarcastic little shit when he wants to be and is still just a teen, but also just having people to hang with. Anyone who's Not Quite Human would be dope. People to maybe teach him some survival skills? I'd love to build up some good CR with folks before it (inevitably) comes out that Kieren is in fact the undead. In that same breath, people who would actively freak out/be wary of Kieren when the truth comes out and building on that would be A++
Unwanted CR: I prefer not to have negative CR for the sake of it. I'm not actively looking for romance. Kieren's not really in the right head-space for it, considering he's not long after losing the love of his life.
Day to Day: Desperately trying to blend in and not be noticed. He's around Milton doing a lot of menial work like firewood gathering and the like, the cold doesn't bother him all that much due to his inability to feel, although he's noticing he does need to take care of himself to make sure he doesn't end up with frostbite. Good thing he wraps up a lot, anyways. He's happy to play skivvy for people, too.
The Story So Far / Plans: Kieren's been keeping to himself and just trying to look as normal as possible for a boy who doesn't eat or drink or feel. As time has gone by, and he's not returned to his rabid state without medication, he's just incredibly on edge and nervous all the damn time. He's convinced he's a ticking time bomb ready to go full zombie on everyone at Any Given Moment.
That being said he's trying his best to be friendly and interact with people. While he's already confessed to Edward Little that he has a condition that makes him dangerous without medication, he's not explicitly told anyone he's a zombie. It's definitely I'd like to explore with him soon, as Kieren does have Limited cover-up mousse and contacts to help him blend in more. He's not going to be able to hide forever. He's definitely already rationing himself with the mousse, meaning he'll be appearing paler than usual by not using so many layers, and will be covering himself up with clothing as much a possible. He's also hoping that when his hand is inevitably forced, he's not going to have people shoot him on sight...
Lately, Kieren's mostly been affected by The Voice, from the It Speaks prompt. He's not verging into actively suicidal territory, but it's seriously fucking with his head. :')

Canon: Life Is Strange.
Residence: Kate remains living in the Community Hall. I don't know if she'll ever move out or not, but that's where she's staying for the foreseeable future.
Notable CR: Again, I'm just getting her out there. She's relatively friendly with Edward Little (aka nannied by him, the favourite duckling kfhsdhkjf) and Harry Goodsir (a fellow cinnamon roll), and has some interestingly complicated relationships with Rei Ayanami (fellow teen and kind of odd but that's okay) and Thomas Richardson (Serious Religion Talks but also ???? friendship???) thus far.
Skills: She has some degree of animal care, granted she owns a rabbit in canon. She's both artistic and academically inclined (3.9 GPA, babyyy) and also has musical skill as a violinist (which she has in game with her!)
Wanted CR: Pretty much everything! Friends!!! People around her own age to befriend!!! Mentors/people to help her with this absolute hell of a world with survival skills — she's not worldly at all. People to keep an eye on her/look out for her since she's literally just a teenager and is Really Not Coping. Fellow religious folks or folks who fell out of their faiths for some Interesting Talks, since she's currently riding through a crisis of faith, currently.
Unwanted CR: I prefer not to have negative CR for the sake of it. Again, not actively looking for romance and in truth it'd be a super slow burn thing for Kate due to her own values concerning romantic relationships.
Day to Day: Curled up on her cot with depression spirals, for the most part. She pretty much stays within the Community Hall, although she might on occasion be sitting up and just quietly passing the time reading or perhaps trying to play violin. She will likely also try to help out with food/cooking/cleaning in the Hall when she feels up to it. And recently, she's starting to go out and attempt foraging/examining the local flora. She's acquiring rosehips, which she's going to be looking into turning into teas/rosehip syrup (gotta get that vitamin c.....). She also spends a lot of time in Milton Church, given her currently precarious relationship with her faith as of late.
The Story So Far / Plans: Honestly, she's not been up to much, generally. She's come into the game both severely depressed and actively suicidal, so she's not really doing all that great.
In terms of the event, she's been very rudely horrified by the 'ghosts' and the violent ends most of the townsfolk of Milton met. She's incredibly sheltered, so it's A Lot on her tbh. She's talking Thomas out of letting the earth literally reclaim him, because sometimes you have to watch a grown ass man try to eat dirt. She's also being talked down out of a suicide attempt by Edward Little, after the Voice got too much for her — which didn't take much considering her current mental state.
She's going to be a little raw/fragile for a while after it, but Edward's efforts to save her is definitely going to have raised her spirits up — even if she's still very sad and scared in this place. But she'll certainly be a bit more active in trying to do a little more in terms of helping with survival!
I would also, one day.... like for her to raise Ptarmigans for food.... She couldn't possibly do it with rabbits, it would be too much for her, but... Ptarmigans!!!!

Skills: Zoey has ALL SORTS of skills. They are as follows:
➤ She’s an expert fighter, being highly skilled with most bladed weapons, as well as staves and crossbow and bow and arrow. On top of that she's also nimble and flexible and fast; having been doing gymnastics and aerial silks since she was but a tiny child.
PARKOUR!➤ She's knowledgeable in things like foraging (and knowing what's edible), fire building, reinforcing building. She's built a still before, too, after watching too many reruns of MASH while drinking. And it's not the only way she knows how to make booze. (It's not precisely survival, but it'll be useful all the same.)
➤ She knows the basics of first aid, as well as more... older/natural methods of wound care and pain management, that sort of thing. She's a historical font of knowledge. She’s also a neat hand with stitches and stopping bleeding and such things, due to her stubborn avoidance of hospitals because she’s a seer.
➤ She's highly skilled at moving silently and going unseen. (Also lockpicking, which isn't stealth exactly, but is

Day to Day: Zoey is regularly gathering supplies from unclaimed houses, searching for both supplies for herself and supplies for the group at large. She’s also looking for art supplies, too. Pens and paper and pencils and journals and paint and paintbrushes and sketchbooks. All the art supplies, pretty much. If need be she’ll MAKE them, but she’ll try and find them, first. She’s planning on mapping the place out, and painting it onto a wall in the house she’s claimed for herself. She’s also doing a smaller version in her journals/on pieces of paper.
She is exploring and researching and taking meticulous notes about EVERYTHING. Trying to figure out the pieces of the puzzle. Keeping herself busy because her gift of sight is GONE and she feels its loss deeply.
The Story So Far / Plans: Zoey held it together during the creepy whisper part of the event, but she’s going to be suffering and a wreck in the aftermath as a result of that. Trying to hide it, because that’s how she rolls, but a wreck all the same. (There may be a log of her sitting on a rooftop and drinking, honestly.)
She is 100% at some point probably soon building a still MASH style but probably a little bigger in form. Might start out with the small one. Make sure it works. Probably also making booze in other ways. Because why not?

Notable CR: He's still getting established and doesn't have any strong connections yet, but he's gravitated toward
Team Bisexual Doctorsthe medical types.Skills: Probably the two most useful ones he's got are good cooking and advanced first aid, both of which he is eager to use for everyone else's benefit. Bring him ingredients and he will convert them into tastier forms! At some point it will occur to him to advertise this so that people can take advantage of it.
He can also shoot stuff pretty well, if he can find enough ammo for his pistol, and he has studied at some length his own world's version of Celestial Fuckery That Does Weird Things To People. This information will not really help anyone here, but at least he's not surprised by the Aurora or anything.
Wanted CR: Friends! People to science with, who may also develop into friends. People to get into dangerous situations and shenanigans with and have to fight their way back to town. People from different time periods to grill about all the fascinating differences. People from later than 2007 who can laugh at him for wanting his flip phone back. Honestly, just give me everything. Not opposed to romance if he happens to hit it off with anyone, but given his track record, that's a big old "if."
Unwanted CR: Negative CR that doesn't have a hope of someday being resolved or becoming more positive.
Day to Day: Mohinder hasn't strayed too far from town yet, so if he's out and about it'll be to scavenge supplies from houses or help provide medical care in the community hall. He may soon venture out to try some hunting, and will be bad enough at it to require assistance, so if your character wants to find him and take pity on him, please feel free.
The Story So Far / Plans: Mohinder woke up, scavenged himself a couple more sweaters and coats to throw on top of the one he was lucky enough to arrive in, and found himself a nice house to occupy. Then he moved out of that house because it was infested with the time-looped ghosts of Daddy Issues Past, and now his new neighborhood has wolves. But he can shoot the wolves, which is an improvement over the memory ghosts. It also has footballers, which is a positive in Mohinder's opinion.
Ideally, my goal is for him to find some scientific equipment that doesn't require electricity to function, because when Mohinder gets bored on the science front he just starts doing increasingly stupid and reckless things that he can't afford to do in a game with permadeath. He'll be studying the Aurora to the best of his ability, and he'll probably try to make "turning the power back on" his long-term project. Nobody tell him it won't work.

The Story So Far / Plans: No concrete plans other than the event stuff. Just wanna throw him out there and get more CR! Potentially Vash might start keeping an eye out to see if he can find anyone who might be able to help him out with his prosthetic arm since it largely being made of steel means it gets very cold and uncomfortable quickly. (It also has a hidden built-in gun he can no longer access so he thinks it's somewhat busted.)

Notable CR: UHHHH none yet lol, I've started a lot of threads but have been Too Slow to see where most of them pan out yet (if anyone wants to assume an outcome or an interaction I am a-ok with that too)
Skills: DOCTORING and he's doing mostly that, but also he's not half-bad at basic survival stuff related to camping and dealing with animals, both with handling wildlife and doctoring domestic animals, and on a more basic level he's a Big Guy who can move heavy things and he generally strives towards team cohesion in stressful situations.
Wanted CR: Lots of stuff tbh!! People to be friendly with/at, people he can patch up or aggressively mother, casual relationships or flirty companions, people he might chafe against for Morality Reasons that could also eventually convince him not to be such a stick in the mud when they're in a survival situation and need to do some Less Savory Shit to sustain themselves, people that can convince him to take a fucking break every once in a while

Day to Day: Clayton hasn't done a whole lot of traveling lately; he mostly sticks to the community center in case people need him for Job, with occasional jaunts around town to either look/ask for supplies or to visit people he's met. Would totally offer himself up to accompany a group if they plan to make a more extended trip, though.
The Story So Far / Plans: See above for "what has Clayton been doing lately;" getting to know his fellow captives, helping patch people up post-arrival and post-wolves, kind of stewing in his own juices about the voice. The Story So Far / Plans: The whole September business is kind of fucking him up a bit. He's in an uneasy detente of mutually assured destruction with Hickey, and Dealing With the fact that he has very mixed feelings about Little. He is struggling with major guilt over what he did to the mutineers (except for Hickey) and agonising over whether or not Crozier survived. He is desperate to be the person he believed he was before everything went south, but also doesn't believe can be, or deserves to be. He is, in short, a mess, and pretending not to be, and is going to get worse before he gets better.
