Yeah, something like that. Something exactly like that, really.

[ It's typical small town bullshit, mixed in with the supernatural. Eddie knows why the blame was pinned on him, but he can't help but think that a level of understanding would have been extended to someone who was considered "normal"--someone who came from an affluent home and whose interests began and ended with sports. ]

It's a pretty long story? But, uh, basically, I was selling to this girl and she wanted something stronger than what I had on hand so I brought her back to my place. Good customer service, you know? But she goes into this freaky trance and just...hangs there in midair, like something's holding her there but there's...there's just nothing. Then her eyes just roll back into her head and her bones just...snap. And yeah.

[ He still hates to relive that. ]

And then, uh...it happened again to another kid, out on the lake. Let's just say that was not the best spring break of my life.
