How many of them still live on your island? Are you their liege?

Their brother. The experiments - specifically attempts to artifically mature them - it messed with their brains pretty severely, so they're stuck at the mental maturity of a toddler.

Most of them died a little over a year ago. But there's a few still there. About five.

And you are eldest among them.

Are they—— comfortable? Someone looks after them on your island?

Not gods. [The idea of being described that way would tick R'as off, but it's still not true.] It was humans playing god that made them that way.
