They're the only kind of yetis my world’s got, so I'm counting them.

Well - you have a pretty audible Australian accent, which makes that one the obvious truth. The second one has small details I could pick at like with the Yeti, maybe you came second, or it wasn't a christian school, or it wasn't technically a science fair.

Which is why I'm guessing you're not originally from Australia. You immigrated at an early age.

You got it. My mum’s Australian, but I didn't move there until I was ten.

Where were you before that?

Maybe. [Doesn't quite sit right with him.] I was extremely wealthy and well taken care of, but there were other circumstances.

We stayed around Arabia for the most part. But we had compounds all over the Middle East, South Asia and Eastern Europe. [If that sounds like a cult well...]

I'd consider myself Arabic though.

I was born in India - my dad’s Indian - but I didn't exactly grow up around the culture in Australia.

I didn't grow up surrounded by Arabic culture in Arabia either. It's just simpler than explaining the rest of the context.

I went back recently and the way people talked about my heritage there… I guess I just kind of feel weird about it.
