HELLO EVERYONE I am so excited to be here, big thumbs up to Chase and Laus for haranguing me into the TDM and being excited for my bait and switch regardlessssss, haha!

I am bringing 1934 Arkham detective Arthur Lester to the table! He was a totally normal severely depressed private investigator until an eldritch being possessed him and killed his partner, and together they ~~fight crime~~ learn what it means to be human in the ways that matter.

He is from deeeeep in the canon, season 5 of an apparently planned 6, so he can seen All Sorts Of Shit. Or rather more literally, he has heard/smelled/been violently aggressed by The Horrors, since from the moment he was possessed by the Entity he was blind! This place is literally the first thing he has for real seen with his own eyes in literally five months!

His permissions are here - just disregard anything about his blindness, since that was supernaturally caused and he's a regular human dude here! Albeit one who's dealt with multiple other gods and realities on a regular basis, so all of this is old hat for him. Just point him to whichever God he has to fight with his bare hands and watch him go completely feral.

Hello hello, and welcome to the game! I'm Jhey, and I have two horror guys of my own here — Lieutenant Edward Little from The Terror (a Victorian from the doomed Franklin Expedition) and Commander Konstantin Veshnyakov

sputnik from the movie Sputnik (a cosmonaut from the 80's who ended up infested with an alien parasite...)

I'd definitely love to throw either of them at Arthur, though I think in particular Konstantin could offer some fun times, since he's brand new to the whole "sharing his body with some Alien Entity" thing, and is currently experiencing all the woes about it, LMAO. Maybe he can learn a thing or two from Arthur...

Thank you thank you! Konstantin I'm sorry Arthur might not be as helpful as you like, he taught his own eldritch hijacker how to be human by hitting rock bottom and through multiple murders, he's not a great example to learn from.

To be fair Arthur is in fact an ex-Christian with a loving god, but those are two independent facts bc he considers the church a cult and he taught his eldritch god how to love.

I haven't watched the 11th doctor much but I absolutely adore how you're writing him, and in another universe Arthur would 100% be the perfect Companion and I'm enjoying their dynamic soooooo much, they're so interesting :D

Ah thank you so much! And one of my not-so-secret favorite things with cross-canon games and CR is mentally collecting Companions for him in various alternate universes so yes 100% agreed there on Arthur. Looking forward to more, especially with the upcoming event!

Hello and welcome to the game! I'm Bri, and I've got Zoey Westen here, original character, former seer, and eternal snarky little shit. I'm completely canonblind (although I'm 100% adding Malevolent to my list of things to listen to), but I tagged you with Cassandra de Rolo on the TDM and absolutely ADORED their thread.

I'm about 90% canonblind to Cass but god she was such a good bean on the TDM, I love her. And I look forward to Zoey as well bc Arthur thrives around snarky shits and I love seeing how creative people are with their OCs, I've got a few of my own hanging around in the wings.

I am Lark, likewise new here--and helloooo to a fellow character who's spent time bonded with a Horrible Entity From Beyond. Illarion was in a similar boat until getting pulled through by the Aurora so he's definitely got... experience... with what that does to a body. Definitely very interested to launch him at your guy and see what results.

Ironically the god being in his body did nothing to harm it directly, besides hijacking a few body hards. All the stabs and broken bones he's gotten are aaaaaall Arthur Fucking Lester.

Honestly it'll be so funny for him if he ends up being the go-to guy for everyone's Weird Eldritch/Alien Possession Questions somehow.

Rolling in a week late, I just had to come in and scream about how excited I am to see some Lovecraftian horror represented! I'm a big fan of the genre but am unfamiliar with Arthur's little corner, so adding this to my list of things to dive into now that we've properly entered spooky season.

Also hi, I'm Amy! I play Daisy here from the unloved corner of the MCU known as Agents of SHIELD. Before Milton, she had a small amount of experience with supernatural things, so she'd be interested to hear anything Arthur cared to share about his own history with weird shit.

Malevolent is a CoC-inspired podcast with a strong initial focus on the King In Yellow, but to say anything else is major spoilers for most of the first season (each ep is about 45 minutes). Honestly it's just so fucking good. Arthur is MAJOR spoilers since he's from s5 but I would be delighted if someone else listened to it, lmao. He's got his partner coming along in the next round of apps, theoretically!
