It’s CR Meme time! It's time to touch base with where players are at with their characters in game and look towards the future! While not a requirement, CR Memes are helpful in forging connections with others, along with general housekeeping for what characters are up to during their time in game.

Notable CR: Literally just his sister so far.

Skills:
- Use and teaching of medieval weapons: swords, spears, shields, archery, horseback lance, etc. Has acted as a general in battle. Better at some of these weapons than others.
- Hunting and fishing. Noted skill at both.
- General steward skills: cleaning, washing/mending fabric, food prep, light cooking, drink prep, inventory, etc. Associated administrative skills; good at delegating and running things.
- General outdoorsmanship/survival skills, particularly those geared to a cold environment. Shelters of all kinds, starting fires, etc.
- Swimming, climbing.
- Trained Ghost, therefore can train dogs.
- Basic archaic first aid.

Aurora Feat: n/a!

Wanted CR: Anything neutral to positive. (So much that if you have an open log anytime soon, you'll probably see him in it.) I joined the game with what I thought was going to be a brief case of covid (like, my doctor was convinced it'd be a maybe a week), but it stretched into a pretty severe two-month thing and then I needed a subsequent hiatus just to rest and recover. I really haven't done much yet... but I'd really like to change that! Jon needs some friends.

- One thing that might be fun in the immediate future is one or more people to explain Christmas to him -- which I might make an open log for. (If anyone explains Easter to him, things might get a little awkward; he also has died and been resurrected.)
- If characters don't come from a culture with Christmas, but some other winter holiday, they could discuss that, too.
- People might also be interested in meeting Ghost, his ENORMOUS WHITE DIREWOLF WITH DARK RED EYES. Ghost is a sibling to Sansa's wolf Lady, from the same litter!
- It'd also be cool to discuss some handwaves! I am not sure which TDM threads from way back when people wanted to handwave conclusions for, continue, or ignore, even. (I'm game to handwave conclusions for most of them.) Other handwaves are fine too! Do these characters know each other to say hi to but nothing else, so we can skip "hi I'm ssssLyanna's brother Jon" and get into "bastards only get second-best linen for their shirts at Winterfell" or "Darkwalker? Pfft. Let's talk about the Night King"??? All good!

Unwanted CR: Not quite looking for a life-ruining mortal enemy who spends all their time trying to undo everything he does just yet. (The possibility of that kind of thing seems pretty slim, tbh.)

Day to Day: If not at home, Jon is probably doing what he can to fish, trap, attempt to hunt, or be out in nature. He might be seen around the area doing other helpful outdoorsy things.

The Story So Far / Plans: I'd be interested in getting him involved in other people's plans, especially if they're exceedingly brave, intended to be helpful, and probably a bad idea on the whole. That's the kind of thing that's on brand. Otherwise, he just keeps an eye on his sister and tries not to starve, freeze, or go insane, or let anyone else starve or freeze or go insane.

Jon is a pretty quiet, intense, and kind young man who, in canon, is pretty tired of having leadership roles dropped on him (it happens over and over as a matter of circumstances and duty). He's content to let others take charge or be equals as long as their decisions aren't actively jeopardizing the group. (That may sound like it's not in line with "brave helpful plans that are ultimately kind of a bad idea" -- but usually when Jon throws himself into those in canon, there aren't a lot of other options.)

He can also be kind of gruff and aloof and keep to himself, is kind of canonically notorious for not really telling people what he's thinking and for spending days keeping mostly to himself, so my inactivity can sort of be covered with that, but not really for any longer. He needs to do things and interact more.

My point is, there's a helpful noble muscular warrior who likes to rush into danger in especially stupid ways kind of free-floating around town for the time being, and he can be roped into your heroic schemes.

i know we had a tdm thread, but considering it was so short due to Circumstances, i figured that it's probably easier to ignore that one and start anew with the cr - if you're game, of course! c:

it shouldn't be difficult to get some cr going between jon and bigby either way, especially since bigby will be so super interested in jon's direwolf. bigby is the literal big bad wolf, after all, so he's always interested in the other wolf-like beings around town.. 100% the type who'd rather hang out with the pet at a party rather than with the people.. once you feel up for it again and recovered, i wouldn't mind doing a thread of them running into each other around town, just let me know!

I think you're right that it'd be better to start fresh. I wasn't quite sure what to have Jon ask Bigby at the time; they'd have more to talk about now.

Apologies for the delay in response here -- I posted this with my second case of covid in four months! I'm on the hook for AC this month and I'm not 100% sure I'm going to make it (right now I'm a little short). If I do, I should be putting something up soonish. If not, I will probably re-apply when I can and I'll catch you then.

Oh, I would love to get some CR going with Jon with either or both of mine! Fraser would appreciate knowing another kind, quiet wolf owner who is helping with hunting/preparation, and Wynonna would absolutely drag him into reckless acts of heroism if he happens to be within arm's reach when she decides to do something stupid. Fraser is best for brave and helpful things and Wynonna is best for brave and bad idea options, so really it's dealer's choice when it comes to what you're feeling!

Apologies for the slow reply here! I posted this CR meme thing with my second case of covid in four months (that virus apparently has an immense attraction to my lungs), haven't really been feeling well enough to tag until the last couple of days, and I'm on the hook for AC this month that I miiiight wind up being a little short of. If I make it, I'll probably put up an open post early in the month. If not, I'll probably re-apply when I'm able to, and we can put a pin in plans until then.

Absolutely! Fraser is roaming around town here with Diefenbaker, delivering food and supplies, and would be delighted to run into Jon! I could also set something up with Wynonna if you prefer.

Snow should meet another Snow! I'd definitely be game for Ghost meets too, since Snow has the Moon Touched Aurora Feat and has been dealing with her inner wolf a little more lately. But she's making an effort to be more out and about and check on her neighbors, so it wouldn't take much for them to cross paths!

I posted this CR meme thing with covid (my second case in four months!) and I'm just getting over it, and I'm on the hook for AC this month (because of all the previous covid) that I'm not quiiiite sure i'm going to pass. If I do, I will probably put up something early in the month. If not, I will most likely reapp when I can and catch you then!
