SALUTATIONS, DEAR READER. I'm Priestly! Guy who is new here to this game (and games in general) comin' at you live with Max Rockatansky, titular hero of the Mad Max series! I'm an artist that loves writing, making stuff, creating together, and sharing enthusiasm. I'm also big into video gaming, horror (TERROR PEOPLE! I AM ONE OF YOU!), film, and the post-apoc scene (yes, really) by attending and helping build twice yearly post-apocalypse festivals in the desert. Eventually I hope to suffer more than just 2x/year, yeehaw!!

As for Max, here's a blanket warning for my brusque, mistrustful, withholding and antisocial feral dog man. (ISOLATE PSYCHOTIC keep muzzled...) Once upon a time he was a cop in dystopian Australia, but is now wandering the Wasteland with his cool car and C-PTSD. No car here though, RIP to a V8 nitro-boosted king rotting in the Australian desert somewhere ✊😔 Max can be a tough nut to crack: he is Mentally Unwell (hallucinates not infrequently), barely speaks, and might be dismissive or a dick to your character for awhile but I promise there's a good man underneath the leatherclad exterior. If things get dire, Furiosa may be able to act as a translator, but no promises.

Here's his app, permissions, and warnings/opt-out. It can be a gnarly canon. Thematically, found family, finding redemption in unexpected places, and learning to trust are high on my CR list. Max is a man that has lived a solitary lifestyle for the better part of two decades, so reintegration into any kind of society is going to be an uphill battle I'm excited to write. I'm also totally up for antagonistic CR (please 🙏) and I'd really love a kind of mentor-like relationship for him too.

Absolutely thrilled to see the goodest of all boys here, presumably still trying to be good and still being mad stressed out about it. 💙

ohhh my gosh a fellow Nedward Appreciator, love that sad man with all the miserable weight of a middle manager!! It's so funny because I've been playing him in this game for over a year now and that one thing definitely hasn't changed at all: he is still trying his hardest to do good and is still one big walking stressball stomachache

I'm super excited to toss him Max's way and see what happens — he'll probably be intimidated as heck by him but also wanting to check in on all the new arrivals... you can do this, Ned....

And Kostya is pretty fun / horrific to play around with because his awful alien pal is nerfed down but here with him in game! So there's always some nifty horror potential shenanigans there... Wormy may require bloody brains to survive... this is fine! Kostya himself is very friendly and sociable and all about appearances (desperately trying to look good even in the survival hellscapes LOL) so he could be a fun counter to some of Max's Max-iness!

lskjfsd;lk calling ned a middle manager could not be more accurate lmaooo. as accurate as how he would seriously never stop trying his Very Best, Despite Everything, and still look as put upon as anything. it's the brows! the big sad doe eyes! i feel like the earnestness might throw max a little but somehow i feel like he can be won over because ned also actually will get things done too.

i am digging what i am hearing... the venom marvel of it all! it is so civilized to care about appearances. what is that? max probably hasn't looked at his own face in months!!

Max meeting Irving is such a funny idea tbh... he's so pious and uptight and I cannot imagine Irving sees Max and is not like oh you must become one of god's children and partake in your ablutions <3 I am so so game to give them a shot and see what happens, at the very least for the pure entertainment value!

it might be difficult for our guys to do anything more than exist in the general vicinity in silence but I'm willing to try!!

ANYWAY I'm Dem and Levi here is also from a sort of post-apocalyptic world but instead of capitalism the big bad are giant man-eating humanoids... or so everyone thinks (suspense music). He's good at fighting and has a lot of empathy but pretty shit at socializing so a lot of people think he's a dick until they get to know him. (He also had a translator friend, in fact...)

Hi Dem! Wait omg yes. I only know the most basic outline of AOT but the post-apocalypse vibes are perfect. Levi can tell Max about the titans and Max can sit there horrified with the knowledge that maybe his waterless irradiated world isn't so shit after all. Now I'm convinced I need to stick Max and Levi and their two translators in one room together, tap on the glass, maybe shake it around like a snow globe. Our two might just sit there trying to telepathically leave their bodies but maybe they won't! I could be fun for the whole family!

Things could always be worse! They'll both probably think the same thing though, as the titan world at least has ample water for the most part...

And that would be absolutely hilarious!! Too bad Levi's translator isn't here, but he does talk himself. It's just that most of what comes out are threats and poop jokes lmao. But I'm sure they could find a way to bond somehow!

That's the fun irony of it, huh? Both secretly like 'yeesh, and I thought I had it bad, grimace emoji.'

What else would be funny is if Max's translator is standing there between him and Levi and realizes maybe she understands them both. THE HORROR. But this does sound fun, we'll have to absolutely put the two surly boys together and see if they'll be able to recognize the tsundere in each other (press x to doubt).

Hi Priestly! I'm Lorna and I have this cursed demon hunter, Wynonna Earp, who is ALWAYS good for antagonistic CR (it is truly so easy to rile her up), though I feel like she and Max may be able to vibe down the line (she's also a cop.... kind of....) She has a sweet motorcycle back home, they can bond over missing vehicles with a working combustion engine.

I also have extreme good guy Benton Fraser (

maintiensledroit), a Constable of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. He likes to make sure the people here don't die, so he'd want to check in and make sure Max is doing okay and not, like, succumbing to the elements. He also has four wolfdogs!

Hi Lorna, thank you! Ooooh antagonistic CR, you say? I'm canonblind to the show but I truly love the idea that it can go either way with them - either antagonistic or mutual respect lmao. I do also think Max also deserves to be buried under a pile of winter wolf undercoat. He might even warm up to dogs first before people. Nice Guy checking in to make sure he's alive, Max sitting there with a truly terribly skinned small animal/deer, covered in blood. Please help him. Would love to throw them all in the mix and see what turns up!

I am always ALWAYS up for antagonistic CR! Wynonna loves to get into fights and I love writing them! So that's definitely an option I'd be happy to work on with you, and we can see how they go.

I have some open prompts for Fraser here if Max wants some wolfdog time and/or to meet the neighborhood Mountie!

i too enjoy writing a good fight! not much chance to do that though i wonder if max might not be looking to avoid fighting for now... i say this but what if i pull some strings to make it combative to start? HMM! if i go that way instead of wolfdog time, is there a location you think max would more likely run into her?

Hi Priestly! I’m Tess and I play Chloe Frazer from the Uncharted series and Randvi from Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.

No idea how Max would react to Chloe (huge flirt who talks constantly) or Randvi (Viking) but it will be fun to find out! On the other hand I guess Chloe is technically also a gearhead from Australia? Handshake meme?

hi tess!! oh man, i mean... what if max hears The Accent and then she hears His Accent (i like to pretend he has a proper one) and they can spiderman point dot gif at each other. add the gearhead angle and it's perfect. as for randvi... YESSss! valhalla is the only asscreed i've played since, like, the very first one i'm ngl. max just spent his time with the vuvalini warrior women so i mean!! maybe he would also be just as comfortable with her too!

Chloe is always SO excited to meet other Aussies in RP because it's so rare lmao... So even a weird post-apocalypse one is a plus.

Randvi was mauled by a bear last year so her look is probably very mad max-esque with the eye patch.

you know what. i've never actually thought about aussie characters being rare, but you're right! sorry chloe for this guy being kind of the best/worst kind of thing australia has to offer (wild creature that is trying to kill you and has no chill). i'd say she can count furiosa but furiosa barely recognizes she lives there through no fault of her own.

Howdy! Apologies for the late reply, but hello and welcome to the game! I'm Chase, and I play Holland March from the Nice Guys and Tom Zane from Alan Wake/the Remedy Connected Universe.

Seeing Max and Furiosa here was awesome tbh. I feel like they're both oddly fitting for the setting, and it's going to be fun to bounce off of them! Zane might really dig Max's stoic silence sorta thing going on, he's very used to grumpy closed off individuals at this point.

I'd love to add you on plurk -- gaming and horror are pretty much mainstays for me!
