ooc jazz: hello! I'm Rana and I bring Furiosa from the ~Mad Max franchise.~ Feel free to add me on plurk beehaw - rn it tends to be a mix of rl and rp. Besides being ten years late to the Mad Max party (ty for prequels to rejuvenate me), I also talk about my other brainrot (Severance) and my other hobbies (pottery). Thank you to everyone who tagged me on the tdm and major apologies if I left you hanging. I got covid and then work got crazy so hoping for a fresh start in March!!

character info:: I want to flag some specific content warnings about Mad Max and Furiosa's history specifically. She is not exactly the most open person, so it's pretty easy to avoid the gnarliest bits as IC reveals, but she will speak more candidly about the setting/her world. Please always feel free to reach out to me via DM or on Plurk if I need to edit anything! I'm super flexible.

Here is her app and then some other permissions. The tl;dr is that she's an apocalyptic truck driver that was stolen as a child from her isolationist matriarchal lesbian biker gang that enjoyed gardening. Furiosa is stubborn, resilient, and resolved and has lived a life marked my hardship and loss. She's close to six feet tall and intimidating enough to feel like she's even taller than that. Gruff and no-nonsense in her approach, won't coddle adults. You may get a wry smile or remark out of her if you know her well enough. Slightly more personable than her counterpart wandering around here somewhere, but she's fluent in his grunting. Also, she only has one arm.

plots and shit: I'm really into exploring deep and complicated interpersonal dynamics and character relationships, tentative building of trust, alliances, and even friendships (or more!). Furiosa will be struggling with a lot of latent survivor's guilt and reflecting on the tough choices she's had to make to survive and the others that she's lost along the way.

Konstantin Veshnyakov from Sputnik sputnik (a Soviet cosmonaut from the 80's who ended up infested with a gnarly alien parasite... as one does!)

Furiosa sounds wild in all the best ways and I'd love to toss either of my dudes at her! I have somehow never seen any of the Mad Max movies — they've been on my list 5ever, they look so fun — but I am right there with you in Severance brainrot, ohhh my gosh. Hi and welcome to the game! I'm Dem and I've got Levi here from Attack on Titan. His world is also pretty apocalyptic but rather than water wars there's giant humanoids eating people. He's good at fighting and bad at talking to people, but overall reliable to team up with in a variety of situations. Oh and he's probably turned survivor's guilt into an art by now because people keep dying around him 🥲 Would love to see how they get along (if they do)!

Hey Rana! Welcome! I'm Lorna and I play Wynonna Earp (from Syfy's Wynonna Earp), a cursed demon huntress with a tendency to thrown down even in situations when that is not at all necessary. Did someone mention survivor's guilt because that is a huge part of Wynonna's collection of issues! Definitely something they can not talk about bond over.

I also have one (1) earnest Mountie, Constable Benton Fraser from Due South (maintiensledroit). He's a persistent do-gooder, but he and Furiosa might get along on basis of both being good at surviving in extreme conditions (he's from a very similar area to the one they're in now). He's also always willing to help people learn to hunt and otherwise stay healthy and alive. And he has four wolfdogs, three of which are just past puppydom and who love to meet people.

Hi Rana! I’m Tess and I play Chloe Frazer from the Uncharted series and Randvi from Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.

Chloe’s been going a bit feral here (her aurora feats both make her constantly hungry and let her turn into a wolf) but she's got a greenhouse going up at the farmhouse if that's something that might interest Furiosa given her background.

On the other hand, Randvi is more likely to have actionable cold-weather survival tips, lol. I'm also always looking for her to meet characters with visible disabilities since she lost one of her eyes in an event last year.

Super late to say hello, but hello nonetheless! I'm Chase, and welcome to the game. I was pretty stoked to see some mad max players here. Admittedly I haven't seen furiosa yet, but it's on my list.

I play Holland March from The Nice Guys, who is a 70s detective and way more annoying than he is nice. I also play Tom Zane from the Alan Wake series/Remedy Connected Universe, who is mysterious, a bit insane, and absolutely loves picking apart closed off, cagey types. Looking forward to them meeting!

I absolutely love Severance, too. I need to protect every single innie.

This is Dorian Gray, from The Confessions of Dorian Gray, an audio drama canon that absolutely nobody has heard of unless I've rped with you or you're knee deep into the audio drama side of Doctor Who (these canons share a production company!). the cliff notes of CODG is 'what if at the end of The Picture of Dorian Gray, Dorian didn't bite it and instead lived on and had monster of the week style adventures with soooo much supernatural bullshit, presented in half hour audio dramas.'

Dorian himself sucks. truly, he sucks. he's a consummate liar and narcissistic, self-absorbed jackass who's main priorities will be 'how do I get my immortality back' and 'how the fuck do I get out of bumfuck nowhere Canada.' as I've taken him from a canon point where he recently killed three people to come back to life, who's ready for some poor choices in trying to accomplish those goals! this canon point is also 2014 so enjoy this relatively modern guy who has no clue what the fuck a tiktok is.

He remembers all of you...But for those of you who don't, an anxiety-ridden metalhead from a small, cursed Indiana town in the year 1986. SALUTATIONS, DEAR READER. I'm Priestly! Guy who is new here to this game (and games in general) comin' at you live with Max Rockatansky, titular hero of the Mad Max series! I'm an artist that loves writing, making stuff, creating together, and sharing enthusiasm. I'm also big into video gaming, horror (TERROR PEOPLE! I AM ONE OF YOU!), film, and the post-apoc scene (yes, really) by attending and helping build twice yearly post-apocalypse festivals in the desert. Eventually I hope to suffer more than just 2x/year, yeehaw!!

As for Max, here's a blanket warning for my brusque, mistrustful, withholding and antisocial feral dog man. (ISOLATE PSYCHOTIC keep muzzled...) Once upon a time he was a cop in dystopian Australia, but is now wandering the Wasteland with his cool car and C-PTSD. No car here though, RIP to a V8 nitro-boosted king rotting in the Australian desert somewhere ✊😔 Max can be a tough nut to crack: he is Mentally Unwell (hallucinates not infrequently), barely speaks, and might be dismissive or a dick to your character for awhile but I promise there's a good man underneath the leatherclad exterior. If things get dire, Furiosa may be able to act as a translator, but no promises.

Here's his app, permissions, and warnings/opt-out. It can be a gnarly canon. Thematically, found family, finding redemption in unexpected places, and learning to trust are high on my CR list. Max is a man that has lived a solitary lifestyle for the better part of two decades, so reintegration into any kind of society is going to be an uphill battle I'm excited to write. I'm also totally up for antagonistic CR (please 🙏) and I'd really love a kind of mentor-like relationship for him too.

About Me: I'm Millisa, in my 30s, and I live in London, England. I'm currently working on a PhD thesis about 19th century education, and my background is in SEN teaching. I love both historical and science fiction, and I also write a lot - worldbuilding is a passion of mine so if you ever have any questions about Tayrey's setting I'm happy to answer! About Tayrey: She's a wealthy Director's daughter from a libertarian capitalist Company-owned world who ended up running away to become an apprentice spacer. It went well; she's a lieutenant astrogator now. At first glance she's stiff and serious, but she's devoted to her work and very earnest and enthusiastic about it. She's an idealist, even if her ideals aren't ones everyone would agree with. She's likely to experience culture shock - where she's from, everything is expressed in terms of contract, eating meat is virtually unheard of, and most inhabited planets are nicely terraformed. If you're curious, there's lots more to read about her in this journal!

Desired CR: Please bring me all the platonic CR! She'll be missing her friends and comrades and will be very happy if anyone lets her talk about space and how amazing star charts are, over a drink or two. She values friendship very much and can be intense about it. I also love mentoring relationships, in either direction. She'll look out for 'civilians' and teach what she knows, but if there are honorable captain-type characters out there, she'll probably be looking for guidance too. Leaning into the culture clash is fun for me, so characters interested in discussing philosophy, religion, etc. are always a delight. Also, she hates having to accept help from others, but she's likely to struggle practically until she gets used to everything. She has dealt with extreme temperatures before - but not without advanced technology!

Unwanted CR: I'm not looking for a romantic or standard shipping plotline for her, as she'll reject the notion. She *is* the type to have casual flings or hookups ('mutually beneficial contract') and I'm up for that instead! Also, while her ideals and beliefs will no doubt be tested by her time here, I'm not going to play out an arc where she ends up completely despairing, 'broken' or totally changed. Exploring her distinctive mindset and keeping her IC in difficult moments is part of the appeal of playing her for me.

Hello! I return, this time with someone far less inclined to wander off into the woods. I bring to you Arthur Lester's other half, John Doe (no really, that's his name) from Malevolent. He is... probably going to ruffle a few feathers, given he is a seven foot tall clearly-inhuman being. Hopefully the big friendly dog vibes (and if not, Arthur yelling at people) will get people not to assume he's something that should be killed on sight. But his heart's all there for doing his best to work with people, supporting them, and learning what he needs to learn in this new fresh (frozen) hell that they get to deal with.

Me: I'm EST, work in healthcare tech (processs side), married, have two cats, and a million hobbies. Tabletop, board games, watercolor, nails, tarot; I even made dice for a while. Love to chat character stuff, all about plotting with people, tend to be shy to start so if I'm hesitant to approach, it ain't you. yarnzipan is me (same on Discord)!

John: He's an undefined entity that was once a portion of Hastur/The King in Yellow from the Mythos. He got torn away from the King, trapped in a book, dropped into the wasteland of a million dead worlds that runs on pain and fear called the Dark World and tortured for untold lifetimes, and then got free and hid away in some dude's eyes. This dude was Arthur Lester, whom he ruined the life of before they went on the run from Literally Everything trying to kill them. Through this journey, John picked his new name, started to value humanity on the whole and Arthur in particular, and decided that he'd find a new path as his own being. This is his first time having his own body or being separate from Arthur and of course it has to be fucking freezing. John curses like a sailor, has very little in the way of a filter, wants to learn everything but especially about any songs or poems or art you might have, and once you have his loyalty, he'll walk backwards into hell for you. He might be a little grumpy, but he's really trying his best out here. At least he's used to being up shit creek without a paddle?

Desired CR: Just about anything and everything! He's basically only had one (1) friend other than Arthur who even knew he existed before and he's very keen to meet others and be a Person.

Unwanted CR: I'm not at all opposed to negative CR (and expect some! given his appearance) but I really would like to have some good OOC communication and some kinda arc or path going on. Doesn't have to be positive resolution! Can end up in 'curmudgeonly rivals' or even 'avoid at all costs' but let's chat.

HIYA! I'm Tossino. I've been on an RP hiatus for a year or so but I've had this game in my sight basically since it opened, so I decided now was a good time to join! You can add me on plurk Tossino or discord @ tossino. I'm not super active posting things but always happy to chat and answer pings and such! If I do post, it's often about rl things, or memes and funny stuff. But maybe I'll be more active now that I'm in a game again!

As for my character, well, I'm sure everyone knows him. This is the goodest lad Frodo Baggins from Lord of the Rings. I go by movie canon, but may grab some inspiration from the book from time to time. I grabbed him from the second movie, so he's less tired than he ends up being but also very concerned about his mission. Here are permissions and his app if you'd like to take a look!

Other things that are good to know: I'm Swedish, so my timezone is about the same as this game operates on. I'm also a teacher, so I'm generally pretty busy during the weekdays and occasionally my kids drain like all my energy. And then time blindness happens. Please don't be afraid to poke me for threads or tags! I've struggled with creating deeper CR with my characters for a while now due to burnout, and I miss it.

my name is noodle and I identify as a fucking problem my pronouns are try and me. they're actually she/they but you could say "hey you," and I'll reply bc gender is irrelevant. so, I suppose that makes me fluid.

I am stuck in the dirty south but saving all my rupees to get out of here. I'm an artist and a writer, and the universe experiencing itself as a pasty ginger. I do animal rehabilitation out of pocket bc I've got like 16+ years of animal medicine experience, so that's a thing you might hear me talk about.

In case it wasn't obvious I'm bringing in Joel Miller from The Last of Us ahead of the season two premiere this month bc you know what that means and he's delighted to be back, still has beef with Methusalah, and is back to renovating the farm house and checking on all his traps and hidey spots. he's a middle-aged man mess that's used to apocalyptic hellscapes but not a huge fan of the cold and he probably does remember you if you remember him, but he might pretend that he doesn't because he's got a trust no bitch, fear no bitch type of mentality.

he came with his horse again but Callus is over it and his been a pain in the ass since day one of the redo. his TDM stuff is this way and I'm open to keeping it game canon and continuing it or sliding into whatever ditl catch-all you've got up. I tend to be a slow tagger but I get back and I'm consistent about it. I also match format.

Hi hi! I am Kia. I was out of dwrp for quite a long time before I came back in October-ish of 2024. You can add me on plurk @ tapsters or discord's available on request. I'll probably end up hopping into the game server, even though I'm generally pretty quiet. On plurk you'll mostly find the side effects of my batman brainrot. That is to say I talk about it a lot lol.

Speaking of, that's who I'm bringing in. This is DCEU's Batfleck taken from Batman v Superman when he still believes Superman is a Threat. He no longer has a no kill code and will therefore fight to the death. I would like for him to work on that while he also works on not freezing to death. He trusts no one, but is friendly if he needs to be.
