Hello hi! I'm Ghost (he/him) and I'm new and super excited to be here with Deacon St John from the open world zombie-style apocalypse game, Days Gone who I've been hankering to write for a hot minute! I've got a bunch of wip info about him on his journal, as well as content warnings on the permissions page.

A bit about me, I'm based in the UK, 30+, gay and queer, and I work in video games on the developer support and operations side of things, so every once in a while I collate cultural and market-based observations on the industry and make rambly plurks where I just dump a load of thoughts out. Unfortunately, I do love industry analysis. I also follow trends in Japanese anime figure collecting pretty closely, so I will occasionally ramble about expensive lumps of plastic. I also post photos of our traumatised Romanian rescue dog, so those are the vibes.

helloooo and welcome! i also love weird industry analysis on my side of the business (entertainment) so i feel you there. i play mister mad max, so if you need another apocalypse man to talk survival stuff with, here you go! haven't played the game but i love putting max up against other survival types, especially if they're from other canons, so i'm always open if you've got ideas!

But non-sarcastically, I do love Mad Max so I was super hyped to see your little cast over here and was definitely hoping they get to interact here. I'd say Deacon would be dismayed to hear he didn't get the gnarly end of the world with battle bikes and trucks and stuff but it's hard to truly envy any brutal apocalypse life. In general though, when I find my footing a bit in this setting, I am so down for them meeting :>

ah i'm honored! and would love to get them interacting for sure! i'm on the hunt for a post-apocalyptic media where the setting ends up worse than in mad max and so far i'm not sure i've found one yet dskjlh

want me to hit up your tdm so they can meet that way? max often goes roaming to scavenge and explore so he can stumble on him in his arrival or maybe in a team up against the crows!

That is entirely accurate and I hate it but it sure do be that way and we just kind of... (stop, drop and) roll with it, I guess.

Honestly I was thinking about it and I think MM wins in most awful post-apocalyptic media because the desert earns big awful points across the board.

I would honestly love that--I can't picture anyone better or more super duper friendly and helpful for Deacon to meet out the gate than Max!

a reaction that's a good thing for an earthquake, but maybe not during the concurrent hurricane but we do what we can, don't we!!

as a guy who goes into the desert to larp the apocalypse for fun, can confirm the desert is a punishing mistress ✊😔
