Residence: 41 Mackenzie Street with John Irving & Kate Marsh. However, for the past four-ish months he's been absent from the place and staying with Wynonna Earp. Currently he's living with her in the little apartment above the saloon.
Notable CR: John Irving, James Fitzjames, Cornelius Hickey, William Gibson (fellow members of the doomed Franklin Expedition, of varying degrees of #ComplicatedCR); Wynonna Earp (lover??? also #Complicated); Bigby Wolf & Holland March (confidants & assistance in all things Modern); Kate Marsh, Tim Drake, Levi Jordan (young people to Watch Over & Nanny) — and after recently meeting Teddy Roberts & Maelle in harrowing situations, they are likely to very quickly fall into that category too
Skills: extensive training as a senior & executive officer (keeping order, being the Middle Manager); some years' experience with Survival Horror out in the frigid arctic (living in cramped ship quarters, having to ration dwindling supplies, dealing with various Frozen Landscape Terrors and encounters with a Supernatural Spooky Thing); a really good Guard Dog (pathetic, but unflinchingly loyal)
Aurora Feat: Moon-Touched & Darkwalker's Revenge | info

Wanted CR: Ned's recently-acquired Darkwalker's Revenge feat (which leads him to experience hunger towards anyone else with a feat inside of them) will be shaping how he encounters new cr / how he interacts with his current, so that's a factor I'll be looking to really play with and see how it develops! Whether it's getting back into touch with cr he's pulled away from these past four months, expanding on cr he's recently met, or meeting new. General stuff Ned is good for includes: Guard Dog Things (if anyone needs an escort, and he's been openly using his wolf form a lot for that), people he can Nanny / look after, friendships / people to vibe with in his Serious, Unfun way... also people he can befriend / hang with as his wolf form, as I can see him defaulting to becoming a doggo more these days; being a person is too depressing... let him come lie down on your porch, keep you company, and give soft whines every once in a while. That's what he was born to do

Unwanted CR: He's good on Complicated Romance Things! Otherwise I'm probably going to be giving him a break from any Serious Injuries for a good while, since he's had tons of that.

Day to Day: Ned's been a pretty noticeably active member of the community since its start — diligently making his rounds and patrols around the town, being involved at the Community Center, checking in on people, etc. But for the past few months, he's been fully absent from that and holing himself away reclusively. Folks may have noticed him at the saloon (set up in the old post office), hanging gloomily around as Wynonna works there or helping her out with dish-washing and whatnot. He's started coming back around a little bit more these days but is still taking it Very Carefully, and I think is going to be trying to cautiously sort out who triggers his Cursed Demonic Hunger and who doesn't...

The Story So Far / Plans:

— Losing canonmates: Goodsir has vanished, his Captain Crozier has been killed (a thing Ned has definitely not processed in any way but is causing him immense amounts of grief that he probably needs to address some day!), and now with Jopson's disappearance, he has much to lament... It's all made him latch on harder to Irving & Fitzjames, and also want to keep more of an eye on Hickey & Gibson

— With his acquisition of the Darkwalker's Feat, Ned has been having A Time... he starved himself, ended up losing it and attacking / feeding on his best duckling & daughter figure Kate Marsh, was beat tf up by Tim Drake, and banished himself from existence for like four months straight after

— He's been feeding on Wynonna in small enough doses to keep himself from going off the deep end, and recently struck up a Cursed Deal with John Irving to feed from him sometimes as well so that poor Wynonna isn't his only donor... but Ned's still very reluctant & miserable by the whole affair. Which isn't anything new for him

— After months of pining and much spooky angsts, he and Wynonna finally have begun mutually openly Enjoying Each Other's Company and are An Item(???) Folks are free to assume knowledge of this, as they haven't been very secretive about it / both of them were glowing Affectionate & Horny colours in each other's presences for a good while there... He's also very much in love with her but shhh no one tell her that or she'll Run Away Into The Wilderness

— Most recent events: experiencing some Worst Regret memory-sharing with a few people, and finally having a reunion with Kate Marsh!

— From here, I plan to explore him coming back to civilisation a bit / reconnecting with people very carefully... he may or may not be spending more time as a wolf than a man for a while! He'll also be working on how to live with his Darkwalker's Revenge curse instead of hide himself away. Eventually I'd also love to have him head out to Silverpoint for something or other, as he hasn't been there yet... I think breathing in some coastal air again could be good for him but also I think he might want to see about paying his respects to Crozier / really coming to terms with his death out there... 😔

NED YOU'RE POSSESSED.... quick someone exorcise him!! (or don't, it's better if he stays possessed, that way she can say it's some Darkwalker Fuckery and not the more terrifying option! Love is horrific 😱)

Just lolin forever at how many people in this town think Teddy's super young, bc tiny and babyfaced (...extra so bc they're not even two years younger than their PB and that's often not the case for actors >_>;). Literally they're like two years younger than Wynonna :P

And to be clear I say this 100% loving the idea of Ned just kind of extending that protectiveness. It'll bemuse the fuck out of Teddy, but for all she's capable and intelligent, she's got a whole lot of "also, what if I was a fucking idiot and did something impulsive", so sometimes having people to be like TEDDY NO is a good thing.
(Also I feel like Teds is already catching on that Ned's got some trauma of his own and I MEAN. SHE'S NOT WRONG. Which could be fun to poke at. ...not the trauma, the mutual concern going places.)

It's always so funny to me how his Victorian Cultural Things lead him to misread people's ages a lot — when he first met Kate Marsh he thought she was a child because of the length of her skirt.... When he found out she would be considered A Grown Adult With Probably Six Children in his time he was so mortified bc he thought he'd disrespected her LOL. But I'm sure that he'll sort out pretty quick that Teddy's not quite as young as he thought, and he definitely won't be pegging them in a "little kid" category or anything like that! Mostly he just wants to help bc they're new to this horrible place and he worries endlessly about failing to keep yet more people alive :'D

Also hilariously he doesn't actually even know how old Wynonna is, now that I think about it... He's too polite to ask, he'll just die never knowing

But YEAH lots of mutual trauma fun to be had I think! I'm happy to roll with what develops more with this cr, and he is definitely no stranger to impulsive people making questionable decisions (he has many stomach ulcers from them) so if anyone does ever need to be TEDDY NO about smth, he's got your back

Omg you know I never even thought about skirt lengths despite knowing that having been a thing. that’s a totally legit but hilarious misreading. Also no worries at all, it’s funny! It’s not just Ned that I meant at all, Randvi and Chloe and I think Eddie have all also underestimated Teddy’s age (Chloe guessed teenage boy 😂 also tbf Teddy overestimated Eddie’s).

Also aw Ned. ❤️ Teddy will def take all the assistance with staying alive that people want to offer.

It's so funny to me that after 2 years in game Ned has a) adapted a lot more to Modern Folks, and b) for anything else he's confused by, he's learned to just Roll With It... largely thanks to Wynonna being the exact antithesis of his norms & comfort zone LOL. Also on that note: I think Teddy's identification could be a good learning opportunity for him if that sort of thing ever does arise / if it's something you oocly would be okay with / interested in exploring! Or if it never does that's totally okay, but I just wanted to put the offer on the table!

Haha, that does make sense though. I was thinking about that a little last night, I haven't watched Wynonna Earp but one of my bffs irl used to be obsessed and I get the general gist :P

I absolutely would be into exploring that (and thank you for asking/offering)! It's definitely a thing that ends up just never getting brought up a lot of the time for [REASONS; I started getting into Teddy's psychology and the practicality of it in RP and -- yeah that was an essay; happy to ramble about it tho], but it's easier as CR develops. I'd love for it to be a thing that's actually addressed :D

Notable CR: Vasiliy Ardankin (best friend & lover, aka My Partner Vasya); Chloe Frazer, Louis de Pointe Du Lac, Dorian Gray, Bigby Wolf, Arthur Lester, John Doe (friends & fellow freaks); Randvi (Worm Whisperer); Arilanna Tayrey (Team Space partnership / comradeship); Rorschach, Wynonna Earp (Negative but It's Complicated); Charles Rowland, Levi Jordan, Tim Drake (boys he's latched onto with all his Son Guilt); there are other people he's becoming fond of and wants to befriend more, like Raylan Givens & Levi Ackerman, and he's extremely curious by Sameen Shaw
Skills: leadership experience; physical & mental capability in harsh environments due to undergoing the vigorous training required for Soviet military and cosmonaut preparation (though his Alien Situation has left him weakened and ill in a lot of ways); social prowess / can work with people or manipulate them as needed (he's a recognised Hero / model of "social excellence" back home); knowledge of space science and technology (granted, he's from the early 80's but he knows a lot about the inner workings of tech & whatnot)

Aurora Feat: Old Bear's Blessing. I also plan to give him Free Runner the next time feats come around!

Wanted CR: Always down for more friendships / companionships for his extroverted & sociable ass, but he also comes with a lot of "how to actually relate to people" angsts given that back home he's more of a Concept than anything, so I'd love to keep developing / deepening his relationships with others. Dadly Things of any flavour (fellow parents, young people, etc) are also forever on the table; Kostya comes with heaping tons of Daddy Issues of his own, but also perpetuated the cycle and ended up abandoning his own son, uh oh! He'd love to chat with anyone with space or lab rat experience, and if "aliens" exist in your world, he needs to know about it pls. Folks with medical experience who might be interested in his "condition" are a fun angle, and he could always use more Fitness Buddies to work out / run around town / etc with. Also Alien Encounters are a thing I'd love to keep exploring, whether positive or negative — his little passenger offers some fun cr potential and can go many ways depending on the situation! I'd love for him to really start coming to terms / outright acceptance with the fact he will never be able to be rid of this thing, and how to live more amicably with it / possibly begin really exploring it as a living being / part of him and not just an Unwanted Thing that the goal is to remove. Perhaps if he gets to know & understand it better, it could be utilised as something useful...

Unwanted CR: Romance! His commitment-phobe ass has finally become devoted to one (1) person for the first time in his life and although he's still figuring out how to be A Good Boyfriend and can be a big harmless flirt to anyone who looks his way, he's locked in

Day to Day: Kostya can usually be found at his and Vasya's little homestead where he helps tend to things as best as he can despite his Condition; he's also been learning how to do homemaker things like cooking and cleaning, as well as assisting Vasiliy on occasion when he sees patients. He ventures to town at times to make trades / try to keep in the know with what's been going on, spends some time ice-fishing and foraging for whatever he can, scavenging any electrical and technological parts for little projects, and seeking out social situations to recharge his extroverted battery. He's also very big on keeping in shape and can be seen running around town & exercising almost daily... Lately, he's been venturing out to Silverpoint more often as well. Something to note is that he's also consistently ill as a result of his "condition", so your character is free to have noticed him.... throwing up. Anywhere, anytime. It just happens A Lot,

The Story So Far / Plans:

— Recently, he received the Old Bear's Blessing feat, which gives him supernatural strength. He's both very receptive and cautious of this; being #strong again is definitely welcomed, but back home he was being utilised as a weapon with similar abilities

— He's starting to really bond with people beyond that Non-committal Surface Level way he's so used to. Notably, he's formed a friendship / comradeship with A Fellow Space Person, Ari Tayrey, which has also served to help push Kostya back towards his own sense of self that he's felt very disconnected from for a long time

— Attended the meeting given by Dorian Gray, in which he got very upset by some of the public reaction to what was said. It threatened to put a wedge between him and the community again, but things are shaping out that he's going to be overcoming that and choosing not to Run Away this time!! growth

— He's beginning to become "Commander Veshnyakov" again and stepping up into a leadership role / becoming Involved in the town instead of viewing it as a place he needs to escape from

— His relationship with Vasiliy has deepened and Konstantin has really realised what it is to be in love with someone (previously a foreign concept to him)... He's about to hit his Boyfriend Era...

— From here, I plan to continue exploring / deepening his cr with others and looking for opportunities for him to become more directly involved, as well as looking more into how his Alien Situation could possibly be an asset instead of a hindrance??

— He's also recently lost a chunk of Meaningful CR (Svetlana Nazarova, Benton Fraser, & Kieren Walker) and it'll be hitting him harder than he's used to being hit. He may be coping with this by finally establishing a little Training / Fitness Facility — I need to check to make sure it's cool, but possibly at the old clothing store since I reckon it's not being used anymore

— Also if anyone has one of those radios, Kostya would absolutely want to poke into it 👀
