Character Name: Harry Goodsir
Canon: The Terror
Residence: A cabin in town that also serves as a sort of clinic/doctor's consulting office. Floorplan
Notable CR: Edward Little (canonmate), Thomas Jopson (ditto), Francis Crozier (ditto), Cornelius Hickey (canonmate and sworn enemy), Kate Marsh (friend/surrogate sister/locus of displaced guilt), Levi Jordan (newly minted assistant). Numerous others have approached him for medical help and/or offered him assistance.

Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
- Plant and animal biology, including some foraging experience.
- Care and handling of animals, both domestic and wild.
- A knack for picking up languages.
- Ability to perform medical procedures.
- Caveat: he predates germ theory, anaesthesia, and Darwin's On the Origin of the Species. He's a quick study and willing to educate himself and has made a lot of progress in catching up, however.

Wanted CR: All the things. Friends, not-friends, people who need help with things medical, fellow science nerds ... literally anything.
Unwanted CR: He already comes pre-packaged with a mortal enemy, but otherwise no preferences or dislikes.

Day to Day: Most of the time you'll find him at his cabin, where he's available for anyone who needs medical assistance. Sometimes he ventures into town on a scavenging mission. Now that there's hot springs, he also goes there from time to time, but he tries his level best to only go alone.

The Story So Far / Plans: His condition right now is best described as "serious but stable". He's found a purpose as the village medic, and that alleviates some of the guilt and the nightmares. Having canonmates is a bit of a mixed blessing, and he is still in a state of cold war with Hickey. He could be easily unbalanced at any time, however.

At some point, I think Kate might ask Harry to give her a little bit of the basics in terms of first aid/medical knowledge?? Because sometimes bad things might happen, okay. :')

She's also going to be looking more into doing foraging after the rosehip successes, and will likely start to supply him with things that might be useful medically from the natural world since all the synthetic stuff isn't going to last forever.

I want to do something with these two again. Maybe him brining Goodsir some medical supplies he's found and dumping them at his feet like a cat whose proudly brought in a mouse?
