hello! i'm jay, aka freshmeat. i'm bringing in renny oldoak, aka my halfling tav from the hit dating sim crpg baldur's gate 3! this is my first game after a long rp hiatus, so i'm very excited to know everyone \o/

a quick run-down on renny:

he's a halfling (i.e. dnd hobbit), so he's only about 3'0". but he's Built

he was picked up by some squids, got a squid baby shoved into his eyeball, and now it's kinda just hanging around in his skull. don't worry about it

he's an unerring optimist and also a nosy do-gooder who absolutely wants to get up all in your business, very sorry to everyone ahead of time

he's a paladin-bard, which means he loves to talk. my gods does he love to talk. he can even play you a tune if you'd like in between conversations

as a bard, renny can play all sorts! the flute, lyre, lute, drums, violin... he can whistle a mean tune too

Fiddleford can do Banjo and probably bullshit his way through guitar/bass/mandolin so absolutely they should form a band. What else are you gonna do in a frozen hellscape, right? He's from the late 70s where half the music was about wizards and stuff anyway.

also ayyyyyyyyy another musician. Kate's got her violin with her in game! She lives in the Community Hall, and plays it pretty much every day. Please allow her to lure Renny in like some sad teen pied piper fjkghdfkg

and my god if renny hears any music in town he's immediately scuttling towards it. he'd love to learn what sorts of songs there are in other worlds and would love the chance to expand his repertoire

Kate mostly plays Mozart and other classical music, but it'll still counts!! And she's got her walkman like mentioned in the Discord so he's in for a treat in terms of widening his musical horizons!
