I can't get married either, at this moment, but it's a game and our options are limited. I don't want to kill you.

You keep saying that people wouldn't wish to marry you but that does not seem to be the case.

I'm pretty sure Rorschach doesn't do sex, and the concept of talking about that shit out loud probably terrifies Edward. The other one's just a joke.

If anyone's saying 'marry' here, it's 'cause of what you point out. There's no 'leave the hell alone' option.

I didn't have a choice when I married. I'd always suspected that would be the case if I married at all, so as a young girl I didn't give much thought to what I would want.

Now I think what I would want the most is an equal partner, so we could share our burdens with one another. I don't see why you couldn't do that, for me or others here.

It helps, certainly. Respect as well. But those things do not help you to survive your day-to-day life if they're given from the other end of a bridge you cannot cross.

Not directly, but he brought me to a village of strangers. What safety I'm assured there is based on his regard.

And that doesn't got anything to do with anyone's regard, or some marriage, or whatever. We look the hell out for each other here. That's the way it's supposed to be.
