Damian might start checking in on Ruby since he's living over at the dam, and wants to keep up with whatever she's managed to do with all the scrap. Since he basically only ever goes out at night it might be a good chance for him to catch that she's not doing so hot - and he might end up reluctantly agreeing to hunt together just so he can keep an eye on her.
