It’s CR Meme time! It's time to touch base with where players are at with their characters in game and look towards the future! While not a requirement, CR Memes are helpful in forging connections with others, along with general housekeeping for what characters are up to during their time in game.
Below is a helpful form to use in laying out your thoughts!
He's in Milton for now! He won't be in Lakeside until around the end of the month/beginning of May. More supplies for the Community Hall it is! Or they can do something in Lakeside later on.
Maybe they’re both getting something, the fog becomes an issue, someone starts coughing and needs help somehow? (Unless we want to wait and see what next month’s event will have in store and have them have an adventure then?)
Also, I think I remember Raju seeing Lalo use his fire powers at that community meeting? If I’m not misremembering. I’ve been playing Raju unable to control his own fire powers, and he’ll never have fine control over it (except during action scenes) because he has Very Big Emotions, so he’d definitely want to ask Lalo at some point for tips on doing that.
And yes, he did. Lalo was showing off lol. Lalo would be happy to give tips. Lalo is a sociopath who, while he does feel emotions, often feels them much more shallowly than most people, which is why I generally play him as being able to control it very well unless something is happening in his life that would put him off his game. Bearing that in mind, I don't know how much his advice would help someone who IS a really deep feeler -- but he'd certainly try to help! That would be a very interesting interaction, I think!
And if he ever is in a position to be struggling with some bigger emotions, maybe someday Raju can return the favor.
I think since it's close to the end of this month I'd like to see what prompts we get from the event, and then I'll reply to you here again then to see what we want to do? It could be fun to have them meet in some kind of actiony scenario if we get one of those that works.
And that makes a lot of sense! Raju's so determined to get that level of control over the fire stuff but he's never going to get it, and he's going to be so jealous that Lalo's so much better at it. And you're right, I'd be really interested to see how people who have very different experiences of their emotions talk about like, using them to manipulate this thing. Raju's just about figured out that thinking about awful shit makes it happen and that calming down makes it stop, but actually calming down is the problem XD
That sound like a plan! I'll hit you up then. :D Actiony is great.
Awww, poor Raju! Lalo loves to show off so he'll be happy to show Raju all the different things he can do. XD Although, I feel like Lalo could learn from him, too, actually -- perhaps Lalo's shallow emotional range means his fire displays never quite reach the same level of impressiveness as Raja's do, since he doesn't have the same level emotional depth to tap into.
Ooh I love that idea, that the way they interact with that ability might be different from that end too. Once Raju’s able to do it on purpose maybe he can show off, although that might depend on which emotion he’s using to power it. In the meantime Lalo’s showing off will be studied very closely.
Hm, now that the event prompts are up I'm still not sure. I'm thinking either figuring out lake monster stuff or maybe the stuff with Lalo putting more traps into his house? I'm leaning toward the latter because that might be a useful thing for Raju to learn about doing. XD Do you have any preferences for how they might meet/what they might do?
Lalo putting traps in his house is good! He needs all the help he can get, and he'll probably try to recruit people. I was going to do an open prompt for that too. I'll link you when it's ready!
Cool, that works! I was thinking about your open prompt with the person hanging upside down, but I wasn't sure if a lot of people on that one prompt would get a bit repetitive for you or whether Raju trying to fight him a little bit while hanging there would be ok. But yeah I look forward to it!
