Welcome to Singillatim!
Glad you could be here! We hope you have a great time here in the Quiet Apocalypse. Don't lose too many fingers, this weather bites. Feel free to use this post to introduce yourself and your character and get to know your fellow players! Once you're accepted into the communities, feel free to start posting!

Hey, gang! Jhey here, current player of The Terror's Edward Little, bringing in another obscure horror guy.... aka Konstantin Veshnyakov from the Russian horror film Sputnik. He's a Soviet spaceman commander from the early 80's who ended up a) as the unwilling host of a parasitic alien entity while up on a mission, and b) subsequently kept against his will in a military research facility as a lab rat, so he hasn't been having a great time these days. Said alien lives in his stomach, and will be here with him in game, albeit weakened and affected by the extremely cold setting. (I have detailed information here on his situation / the alien + its nerfing factors!) The most alarming matter here is likely the fact that the creature will be spending most of its time inside of its host, meaning that he will have to procure food for it, himself. While its preferred diet comes from people, Kostya will be working very hard to keep it satisfied by feeding on the blood/brains of animals. Should be fine!

Konstantin is coming in freshly suffering a fatal wound, and while the Aurora has healed him enough so that he's not dying, he's currently very bad off due to his internal injuries and the effects of having a very unnatural passenger occupying his body, in a place where he has little-to-no access to medication. Upon his arrival into the game, he can be seen doing such activities as: passing out in the snow, throwing up blood, and convulsing on occasion. He also comes with heaping doses of Dad Guilt, and will initially be trying his hardest to escape this place so that he can go collect his son, despite the fact he can currently barely walk without passing out! Oops!

Given the fact that this character comes with some pretty gnarly horror elements, if anyone needs to opt out of a particular thing, please do not hesitate to do so. I have a list of content warnings here, and comments are screened.

Absolutely!! It was such a good talk (and I'm down to continue it a bit further if you like!) I think these two have a ton of interesting things to chat about in general, not to mention I can absolutely see Kostya being really worried about this boy here.

he's a friendlier, more socially normal trojan horse for vasiliy to obtain cr through... gonna start getting to know people during the handoffs thanks to the new bestie!! they very much have the vibe of people where it's "their friends" and it's someone konstantin got in an enthusiastic conversation with at the supermarket and when They are with "their friends" vasiliy is just kind of There. they've talked once or twice and he thinks the person is okay

Also very excited to explore more cr with ur beans 👀 Kostya meeting fellow "Monster Types" when he's so new to the concept of seeing himself that way would be such a fun angle to see with Kieren... also they have "Successful Suicide but Came Back Against Their Will" in common......

Also HELL YEAH i'm so hype to see how Kieren's CR with Kostya goes. They're just two, sad and gross dudes in this frozen hellscape and GOD yeah. The most cursed and sad handshake meme of all time....

Wrong account, but I would LOVE to keep it canon! Konstantin is definitely a Proud Communist and really like, the posterchild of The New Soviet Man (albeit from a time when that concept was beginning to dwindle and then collapse.... his canon is One Big Metaphor, etc.)

Something that could be fun to play with is that the alien in his belly is sensitive to his hormonal fluctuations, and will react to different people depending on how Konstantin reacts to them..... so if someone Upsets and Stresses him out, Mr. Alien is then going to be more negative and potentially hostile towards them. Could make for some interesting flavour with these two! But in general I'm super down to see how things go!

Honestly, with some of the crackpot stuff Rorschach probably read in his favorite newspaper, alien beings hiding with the bodies of Soviets sounds right along the lines of something he'd read. He's gonna be shocked but also like "I knew this was possible!"

And I am totally down for the Big Worm to dislike Rorschach thanks to him antagonizing his host.

Man, I love your writing style so I am glad you joined. My apologies for being so late with the TDM (which I'd be more than glad to continue now that I'm working on my backlog of tags)- Astarion can't really be of much help with Konstantin's current favorite activities, he's not exactly a sweet and lovely man.

If you want to be assisted I'm... positive my other character, Erichthonios, would be more inclined to help. At least by sharing what he has and looking for help from someone who knows how bodies work. He also has a Difficult Relationship with his dad so he'd probably be... extremely supportive of his goals, should he decide to share, but also try to make im reason?

No worries at all!!! I've been running slowly myself and perpetually live in Backtag Land, so I'd be happy to continue that thread out a bit, or roll with the assumption they helped each other to town and hit you up for something newer when the event drops.

And I'd be very happy to toss him at your other guy, too! Konstantin will probably be mentioning his son a bit, so it would be interesting to see how interactions might pan out. I'm looking forward to exploring it no matter what!

... holy shit, I just realized, I've seen that movie and had totally forgotten that I had.

It's such a wild ride and probably one of THE most obscure character choices to bring into this game HAHA! But I was actually chatting with Vasiliy's player about how Vasiliy might end up coming to Goodsir for some Help with his new housemate's.... very peculiar medical situation and trying to get some things to relieve the gnarly symptoms of it.

One of Konstantin's inventory slot items is actually an X-ray that was taken showing the creature in his stomach, so that could be fun (""fun"") to make an appearance around the Victorian surgeon-slash-naturalist sometime... New species! From outer space!

We love a Tragic Cosmonaut!!!! It's definitely a sub-genre..... I'll have to toss him at Jopson sometime, highfive for game arrivals that involve guys who can barely stand up!
