Aurora Feat: Lightbringer

Wanted CR: Anything! Friends, fuck buddies, frenemies, frenemies with benefits, hunting partners (willing or unwilling), mystery-solving partners (willing or unwilling)... just Lalo inserting himself into everyone's business whenever he feels like it, whether they want him there or not. People who like to gamble.
Unwanted CR: I love negative CR, but in a game with permadeath, I want to make sure it's sustainable negative CR for both characters. Lalo is absolutely the type to kill you and make it look like an accident if you dick him over badly enough, so I want to make sure whatever happens won't result in him trying to kill the other character/the other char trying to kill him, at least for now.

Day to Day: Idk man fucking everywhere? At night, he's usually in his house on the outskirts and typically keeps to himself because he likes having his own time to think, although sometimes he might go wandering at night if it gets the brain juices flowing and he probably slept at the Community Center for the first few days after he got back with Methuselah. During the day he can be found pretty much anywhere. Not a vampire but still never fucking sleeps.

The Story So Far / Plans: He got very injured! He's still healing from it. Then had a bad trip and destroyed Louis's table. Whomp whomp. I'd like to explore what having to rely on others means for him, because he's usually very self-sufficient. At the same time, I'd like to get him more integrated into the wider community at large, since Lalo is the type of person to want to have his grubby-ass fingers in E V E R Y T H I N G.

Oh! I like the idea of him hosting some kind of poker night or something too, if that's something people are interested in! Hmu.

I’d say they could easily be frenemies or frenemies with bennies but she’d also throw him under the bus at the closest opportunity if it meant prioritizing herself, though I imagine he’d have no trouble doing the same

I mean, isn't banging somebody in a hot spring and then throwing them under the bus at the first available opportunity what being frenemies with benefits is all about? :)

Me over here crossing my fingers that Wynonna and Lalo become (fr)enemies with benefits...

I was thinking it might be fun to write out Lalo and Fraser meeting about the table! Or something around them building it together (Fraser won't let him get out of not doing any work). Despite Lalo's complete lack of morals and villain vibes, I feel like he and Fraser would get along well!

Oh my god YES PLS (fr)enemies w benefits is one of my favorite dynamics ever... and tbh Lalo is definitely going to want in on whatever she and March have planned for the liquor...

And I think they would too! They both have big golden retriever energy, Lalo is just an evil golden retriever. If it helps, Lalo is also a self-interested type of villain and not a blow up the whole world for no reason type of villain, so he's unlikely to go out of his way to cause problems for other people for no reason if he doesn't stand to gain anything from it (and he's def not a Darkwalker stan; devouring the whole world is so cringe).

YEAH Lalo's gotta get in on the alcohol! And Wynonna will absolutely be down for poker. She tried to teach a bunch of people during the blizzard a few months ago and it annoyed the hell out of her.

And lmaoooo yes, that's it, they share golden retriever energy. And Fraser wouldn't try to pull the cop card on him anyway, because they aren't in his world and he lacks jurisdiction... nerd. I think he'd appreciate Lalo's skill as a cook and how quick and intelligent he is, and they'd probably have some great conversations!

I agree!!! And tbh Lalo doesn't really care if somebody was a cop back home as long as the don't try to police him here. He's pragmatic like that. I'd def be happy to have them build the table together - lmk if you want to set something up, or I can.

Ok very weird angle but if Lalo is suggesting this poker night at the community hall this could be an avenue into Randvi’s anti-darkwalker party initiative.

NOT WEIRD AT ALL HONESTLY I actually love that...Lalo is prob delusional enough to think he can take the Darkwalker with enough preparation lol.

Based on the autopsy (and the whole fear aura thing) Randvi thinks despair was part of the reason the Darkwalker was able to kill La’an - this poker game is medically necessary.

Absolutely. :D It seems like Wynonna at least is gonna be down too, so we can def have a poker game in the Community Hall. Really, who better to stave off despair than the world's cheeriest (and worst) man?

And lmao if Lalo somehow does get roped into Eddie's D&D game, maybe he can drag Randvi along for that too. I feel like Randvi trying to play D&D could be hilarious.
