Residence: he's at the Community Hall long term, in a subconscious urge to not isolate himself
Notable CR: It's all notable, I'm just afraid to write out a list and then inevitably forget a character XD
Skills:
- Horseriding (it's too bad the moose here aren't rideable)
- can probably read maps and make a go at making one
- clothing repair (no direct experience making clothes, but with the materials already made and ready he could make a go at it)
- basic emergency medical care (early 1900s era)
- all around marksmanship stuff
- hand to hand combat, hits hard but focuses mostly on agility/leverage
Aurora Feat: lightbringer

Wanted CR: Any, all. I'd love to strengthen and develop his relationships with the people he's already met, but new stuff is good too! Raju can be polite, he can be stubborn, he can be a passive aggressive bitch, he can be helpful, anything that lets me elaborate on the different sides of him is good.
Unwanted CR: Probably romance, unless something really compelling just happens. He might have to accept that he's not going back home to his fiancee before that happened though, which isn't something I want him accepting just yet. Got to get him all tortured and stressed about it for a while first.

Day to Day: Sleeps in the Community Hall in one of the beds closer to the fire, goes outside as long as he can stand the cold to wander around the forest climbing trees, getting firewood, halfheartedly foraging for shit he's not going to find enough of. Sits in the hall writing in his journal and sewing the blanket he's using as a coat when it's too cold to be out. Peaces out every few days to hole up in a random abandoned cabin for a day and wash all his things and himself and meditate and pray and shit while he waits for his clothes to dry.

The Story So Far / Plans:
- Not sure if I'll have the get up and go to seek out many threads about the mushroom stuff, which is a shame. I don't want to start too much new stuff at this very moment, but if anyone has Weird Mushroom plans you want to do with Raju, hit me up.
- He's just had to stop denying the fact that he has weird unexplainable superpowers but he's trying so hard to pretend he's still denying it, like, he doesn't want One More Weird Thing especially one that's inside of him, and he hasn't realised yet that said superpower makes him less likely to notice when he's been out in the cold for too long (makes him feel the cold less, but it effects him exactly as it would have before).
- He refused to use the hot spring when it opened up, not wanting to get used to being warm only to go out in That Damn Cold again, so someone forcing him to enjoy himself there could be cute.
- He's been avoiding eating meat here but knows he can't/probably shouldn't live off canned shit forever, so he's going to have to learn how to hunt eventually and he knows that. If someone wants to take him fishing, he would love that. At first. And then get very bored and restless and fidgety. (He's preparing himself to learn to trap animals too, but I might start with fishing until the food situation gets desperate)

Still waiting for someone with the aurora call ability to get an earworm and broadcast a song to everyone so he can show off his sick moves

Still very much enjoying the Complicated Conversations that these two have gotten up to, and I imagine that thread will probably be coming to a close pretty soon (man have they talked about so much good stuff). I'm definitely looking forward to a fresh encounter whenever the opportunity arises, and seeing what else comes from these two guys in general!

Right, what this depressing place needs are more dance sequences. Regular dance parties. Someone needs to make it happen.

But yeah, I'd love to see how they interact now that Edward is in such a different place emotionally! I saw from your CR post comment thing that he's more Just Ned now, while Raju's only met him when he's still like oh yeah call me Lieutenant, so that difference could give them stuff to talk about! I think your comment also says he wants to investigate people's abilities, so if Raju accidentally set something on fire with his brain where Edward could see that could kick something like that off. Raju will be reluctant to talk about it because it's too weird and weird shit is a lot scarier when it's in you, but in the spirit of relentless scientific discovery he knows he has to figure out more about it at some point. So yeah, I'd love to give them the chance to get more familiar with each other! (I love that they just fell into super deep troubling conversations like, immediately, but haven't done the more normal socialization at all. XD Why would anyone do small talk at a time like this, there's still brooding to be done.)

And I would love that! Ned seeing Raju accidentally scorching something with his disconcerting new abilities would be a really fun angle to explore for sure. He hasn't touched much on the power thing with anyone at all yet (so much else has been going on, lord...) that it would be really interesting to get to do that with Raju, considering their awkward and harrowing first meeting talks... I'm here for it!! And oh my god right, it's making me laugh how Deep & Angsty this is (Edward please just have a normal conversation with someone....) but at the same time it's SUCH a good talk. He's definitely about to start trying to diffuse the situation again and apologise so that might be a good wrap-up point coming up for it!

Excellent! I think Raju’s just about ready to run from the topic if he gets a polite excuse to, so their very normal introduction to one another should be good to bring to a close soon. Would you be ready to start the new thread for them as soon as this current one closes or would it be better to wait on it? Since the fire powers are tied to emotion it shouldn’t matter where we have it happen - my main thought about what could get him setting stuff on fire by accident is having a bad dream, maybe then leaving the Community Hall and still setting stuff on fire outside, now because he’s frustrated with himself for not being able to stop setting stuff on fire, but I could think other stuff up based on whatever Ned will be around town doing.

I'm totally down either way, depending on what your thread load looks like right now! For the rest of the month, Ned will mostly be dealing with his lingering angst from last month lmaooo as well as some Castmate Drama that has him Extremely Stressed about one of said castmates becoming dangerous, so it could be interesting to let him have a little run-in with Raju really soon! Ned, already very anxious, encounters this man experiencing some fire troubles.... Something also fun here is the fact he has a lot of fire trauma from canon as well, SO it'll be very interesting to see him trying to help Raju calm down.

Cool! I’m not sure whether one of Raju’s threads will have him learning stuff about Ned’s fate from Crozier, so once our current thread has closed and I know what Raju would know about Ned going into their next thread I can make a post for them and link it here? Is there anything the fire could be doing that would get to Ned in a way that might be fun?

That sounds perfect to me, thank you!! And honestly, just the sight / smell of it would be enough to get his anxiety raring, and Raju accidentally setting things ablaze — it's the quickness of how it spreads that I think would especially fuck with him, so if some trees or a building or part of anything wooden like that starts going up.... that could do the trick. But really I am super flexible here and can totally work off of whatever you get up!

Super enjoying every interaction between Crozier and Raju. He's become Crozier's best friend here, and I anticipate he's going to be the one who'll learn the entire story of the expedition!

Crozier'll take him out ice fishing, and I definitely want him to teach Raju about tracking the weather.

Is it really worth winning if his bestie doesn’t get to look good in front if his date? (I love that moment too, what a good way to end their little contest)

I’m loving seeing them do stuff, I can’t wait for Crozier to tell Raju all about The Bad Times! And Crozier teaching him how to fish and track weather sounds great, I think learning new things might help Raju feel better about making no progress figuring any of Milton’s mysteries out, particularly from someone he already wants to spend time with. He’s also definitely going to bug Crozier at some point during those things for more of those stories Crozier promised him when they first met.
