Hello everyone! This is your head mod/game creator Cheryl here! I'm super stoked to see you all here and hope you have fun in the game! As for me, I'm bringing in Kieren Walker from BBC zombie drama In The Flesh, along with Kate Marsh from Life is Strange.
Kieren is an undead teenager who was brought back from the dead after recently dying, in a freak event known as The Rising. Whilst The Rising led to utter chaos around the world, things did end up settling down — with medical breakthroughs allowing for the captured dead to be treated and allow them to return to their former selves from their rabid states. Medically treated, these dead (now known as Partially Deceased Syndrome sufferers) were ultimately released back to their families/communities. And everything was fine and nothing bad happened at all. In game, he is frozen by the Aurora meaning he does not require his daily medication to stop him reverting to his rabid state — but he is utterly petrified of being outed/discovered as being a zombie and what that might mean for him. Whilst he doesn't need his medication (something he's still not 100% sure on what's happening with him on that), he is covering up his natural appearance with mousse and contacts (for now, they'll run out eventually). So while he's blending in as much as he can, he doesn't look Quite Right.
Kate is a very normal human from game Life is Strange, which involves time-travel/manipulation fuckery and a whole lot of Problems, and is an absolute sweetheart who only deserves good things. She currently going through a crisis of both personal issues and faith following pre-canon events of being drugged and having a viral video posted of her online, and the fall out of that. She's... not in a very good place mentally, and her canon point is just about at her suicide attempt. She's been kind of shocked out of it by her arrival in game, but she's not doing great fam

But we should absolutely do a thread! I'm canon blind to Roy, but that sounds A++ to me. Also I'm laughing at Roy making zombie jokes. He wasn't wrong, there's definitely one here....
I'm definitely thinking of it being something Kieren is going to keep to his chest. He's let someone know he has a 'Medical Condition' because he's been panicking about the lack of Neurotryptiline, but even when he works out he's been put in stasis thanks to the Aurora he's going to still Worry A Lot about his situation. He's likely going to form a group of 'people who need to know they have to shoot him if he goes rabid so he won't hurt anyone', this poor boy.

All you really need to know about Roy is that he comes across grumpy and like he wants to be left alone but underneath it all he's soft and just wants to be loved. He was scouted for football at age nine and was brought up in a toxic, masculine environment so he's been taught not to show vulnerability or talk about his feelings. But he's still a great coach (he was forced to retire from playing after a knee injury) and protective of the people around him.
That totally makes sense! If Kieren gives him the same "medical condition" reason Roy wouldn't pry into it because it's none of his business, but it'd still be fun for him to be like "what the fuck is going on with this kid" the weirder he is around Roy.
Anyway, I'll be sure to hit you up at the first event!

Oh, boy. Kieren and Roy handshake meme over growing up in toxic masculine environments when you look at Roarton in generally and especially with Rick and his dad in the first series. And here's Kieren as the queer, artistic kid who is now also a zombie... welp. That's absolutely some good CR potential there!!

Kieren will definitely bring out his softer side. His niece is a pretty good artist too (I mean, she's eight and draws boobs, but that's art, right?). Roy's gotta protect all the art prodigies.
