Glad you could be here! We hope you have a great time here in the Quiet Apocalypse. Don't lose too many fingers, this weather bites. Feel free to use this post to introduce yourself and your character and get to know your fellow players! Once you're accepted into the communities, feel free to start posting!

Hi! I'm floral (she/they), here with Rei Ayanami from famed 1990's feel-weird anime Neon Genesis Evangelion. Rei is a science experiment, a mecha pilot, an eldritch creature in a human suit, and possibly a person. (She's working on that last one.) Her favorite activities include reading, hanging out by herself in the dark, and making cryptic statements. She's never seen a winter before, and I'm looking forward to her needing to learn how to (a) become part of the community and (b) avoid frostbite.

I'm happy to keep any of our TDM threads canon - just let me know if you have a perference! As a heads-up, Evangelion is a fairly dark canon; I have content warnings on her permissions post for more information. Feel free to add me at moonlanding or ping me in the game discord. I need to discover how long we can keep Thomas thinking Rei fights the hosts of Heaven from a balloon.

rei tells him she got pretty messed up when unit-00 went berserk and he just thinks the balloon exploded. she tells him it's powered by the soul of her previous incarnation and he thinks rei i is just floating around in the actual balloon part. and so on

yessss i would love for rei and keith to have cr!! i am moderately canon familiar with voltron (i saw like the first half of the first season years ago) but she can always use more moody mecha pilots in her life. finally someone who gets it

Cannot wait to see how long it takes this soggy man to accept the weird blue-haired youth is not a ghost..... I foresee Edward worrying hard over her in the future (he knows about frostbite!!)

tbf rei also isn't sure if she's a ghost or not. i mean, she did die. she and nedward can look into that together since she will also be worrying about him a little (my man it is Just Stew....)

So I watched Evangelion at one point. I absolutely do not remember her being an eldritch monster but then I also kind of didn't get... most of it... XD

Anyway, fellow science experiment here if you ever want to throw them together being quiet and awkward at each other ^^

haha no worries, it's indirectly revealed at the very end when there's a lot of other stuff going on! but rei does have the soul of a vast space alien crammed inside her. so it goes

and YES, i would love that! it sounds like they'd really be able to understand each other, which i imagine is rare for the both of them :')

oh yay i'm so glad! i haven't seen the nice guys, but i'm so glad too see we have some hot messes here in the frozen wasteland. i would definitely love for rei to meet holland, they'll probable confuse the hell out of each other lmao

i find this meme very satisfying to look at it reminds me of an old screensaver i used to have [ totally normal thing to say to someone ]

i am 100% canonblind but she sounds cool and perhaps a little intimidating to an average indiana boy. he will tell her to wear a coat tho. he's at least got that level of common sense mastered

it's got that mesmerizing quality... like one of those little rectangles you hope will bounce into the corner...

and yes i would love for rei and steve to meet! she has some pretty substantial similarities to eleven (raised in a lab + all the issues that come with that) so at least steve has some context for that. the idea of "indiana" will strike rei as very strange though. lmk if there's anything in particular you'd like for them to get up to during the even as well, i'm happy to write starters and i'll be tagging around too. it's nice to meet you too katy! :)
