OOC INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Singillatim!
Glad you could be here! We hope you have a great time here in the Quiet Apocalypse. Don't lose too many fingers, this weather bites. Feel free to use this post to introduce yourself and your character and get to know your fellow players! Once you're accepted into the communities, feel free to start posting!

They totally will! I feel like Din will sometimes be on the move to patrol the perimeter, and sometimes be staying still to keep an eye on the most obvious invasion routes, but he'd appreciate others doing the same, and company

(he will also start bringing Simon a hot drink and a snack if he's beginning his route and he knows Simon is out there)

Oh no that is so cute. Simon is going to warm up so fast to him if he's gonna be doing stuff like that ;o; The tenderness of it all. He will probably start trying to think of jokes to tell Din. Simon will def probably set up a bird's nest somewhere in town. Keep a sniper's eye on everything. He's got your back, bud.

Ahh I'm real excited for these two to get acquainted!

Oooh, a sniper's nest! That'll definitely make it easy for Din to be like "is Simon up there rn? if yes, time to retrieve drink and snack and deliver it". Din will no doubt be very easy to follow with the eye as he does a patrol, he is very shiny

I think he's laughed precisely once in the series and it lasted about half a second, so when Simon manages to inspire a modest chuckle, it will be a landmark victory tbh

The intimacy of it all!! I hate it because it makes sense that if Simon ever bothered showing anyone anything it would absolutely be a dude like Din. & By hate I mean desperately love and now am excited about

Din's technically not an open book at all, in that he almost never volunteers information about himself (although he does honestly answer most questions truthfully if asked), but I could see Simon being someone Din actually trusts to open up to. And there's a lot of stuff that he like never talks about, but Simon's such a kindred spirit, it's like, maybe he can actually talk about this stuff? And that'll be cool? What a novel experience

These two boutta make me swoon. That's actually so endearing. Simon's very much the same way. I can really see their relationship developing in a deep way and I'm just Touched already. Two grisled men find some rare peace and support in each other. It cannot get better than that

Din's about to spend a lot of time in that sniper's nest, probably in comfortable silence as they keep watch together

Another potential fun scenario for sometime in the future: a time where Simon needs to remove his mask for whatever reason (tending a wound, eating, etc) and Din just automatically stands in front of him to shield from anybody's view, because he is a bounty hunting gentleman

Oooooh no that's all too sweet. Simon's going to have an absolute conniption in the best possible way. That moment when Simon gets to learn that Din keeps his face covered for religious reasons and Din gets to find out Simon keeps himself covered outta trauma/torture.

Simon's really gonna be down bad for Din if he keeps up this kinda thoughtful behavior is2g

I don't know what Din's ever hugged anybody in his life, but the second he finds out Simon keeps his face covered because of trauma reasons, he'll probably be seriously tempted to hug. or like. an extended hand on the shoulder? whatever it is it'll be more contact than he's voluntary given anybody for a long time

what do you call it when two fully armored stoics get real down bad for each other but it's hard to tell because of the said armored stoicness. a conundrum? hilarious shenanigans?

Honestly...Same for Simon. They can navigate the bizarre field of physical affection ~*together*~

Hilarious ultimate slow-burn. Or fast-burn with a slow uptake because stoicism is the real enemy. Truly the most repressed intense crushes from two bricked-up armored dudes standing silently next to each other. Who would ever know they are probably also just blushing under all that armor like dumb teenagers

aksdjla Din never learned a poker face because he has the helmet 24/7 so he's just under there smiling like an idiot

and some expert on body language is like "wow those two have got it bad for each other", and someone else looks at these two armored dudes with no visible faces just standing there like ",,,how can you even tell, I'm not sure I can even tell their gender or species let alone emotions"

How is this the cutest dynamic ever already how did this happen

Oh my god. Just "excuse me??" The tension could be cut with a knife. It's so true too tho Simon will just stand Very Close at all times. Unintentionally posturing himself around the guy. Tho Simon's eyes will probably betray him sooner than later. Absolute glares at everyone else but then just staring at Din with all the warmth in the world. These saps.

I don't know how this happened but I am McLoving it 😭

The fact that Simon's eyes are still visible is something that's probably going to fluster Din so hard. Like "he wears a full face covering but his eyes are uncovered. oh. how intimate"

The body language will 100% give them away lmao

dkgjskg that's amazing. Simon, meanwhile, oblivious to this obvious scandal. RIP Din the moment Simon realizes even mildly that he's easy to fluster because Simon will absooolutely tease him intentionally a liiittle bit.
