Glad you could be here! We hope you have a great time here in the Quiet Apocalypse. Don't lose too many fingers, this weather bites. Hello, I'm Cathy! Stoked to be here with Roy Kent from Ted Lasso. He's a south London-born, retired footballer-turned-coach, an uncle and generally grumpy git due to a lot of issues he ought to seek therapy for. He swears a lot and probably comes across as intimidating, but he has a good heart and a lot of chest hair to keep himself warm in this cold climate, so at least he won't freeze to death.

I'm happy to keep TDM threads as canon and I'm definitely interested in continuing them, work just kicked my butt on the weekend but I'll be catching up with RP from tomorrow. Feel free to add me on plurk at spied for plotting as long as it says who you play on your profile so I know who you are. I don't have discord so that's the best way to contact me.

I need you to know that your Roy is phenomenal and it is entirely your fault that my fury has been reignited at Apple for not having physical copies I can purchase of this show.

Wow, no way do I deserve that compliment, but thank you so much! ♥ I 100% share your fury though. I have so many people I would just gift a DVD of the show to. It makes me sad that I can't spread the Ted Lasso love more... Damn you, Apple.

Anyway, I've not seen the Strange New Worlds series (though I feel like I ought to watch it for the good-looking cast, and I am a fan of the movies). Your girl seems super interesting and I'm really enjoying our TDM thread so far!

I'm in the hell stage of "I don't want to have to call customer service to get my Apple ID working again" but I need to rewatch this show... Ugh, why are you like this, Apple!

I am very biased and will highly encourage checking out Strange New Worlds, obviously. It's a prequel to the Kirk era and introduces a lot of the characters we know and love from that time, and is just a lot of fun while having plenty of feels and heartbreak. Plus, there's only 20 episodes right now, so it's very easy to binge. (Bonus: have a little clip of my workaholic girl.)

And I'm having a lot of fun with our TDM thread! Very happy to keep that going and count it as canon, if you are.

I only fell in love with the show a few months ago but it's easily become a comfort show for me now and I'm gonna have to keep my Apple subscription to rewatch it a third time.

Oooh, I didn't know it was a prequel to the Kirk era, that's good to know, thank you! "People are idiots" is very much something Roy would say so I approve of that clip.

Happy to continue and keep it as canon too. I'll be getting back to TDM threads tomorrow so expect a Roy tag in your inbox then.

I am still pumped at the prospect of Mohinder meeting Roy, and also of just reading your threads because Roy is dear to my heart and yours is so spot-on. Wherever Roy will be, I'll find a way to throw a geneticist at him.

I have a self-indulgent crossover headcanon that AFC Richmond exists in the Heroesverse, so they can always talk football when they do cross paths. And then they can grouch at each other, idk. We'll see what happens!

Oh man, I love that idea. I need at least one person to have heard of the club for the sake of Roy's ego. I've missed your Mohinder so I'm really glad we're in this game together. Can't wait to see what kind of CR we get!

I absolutely love ted lasso and I'm ecstatic you apped! Life got in the way of me hitting you up on the tdm but I'd adore some Roy and March CR. His partneer is also an intimidating man with a heart of gold, so he'll definitely appreciate Roy even if he'll still call football soccer.

It's gonna be fun to play Roy's reaction to March after meeting Ken, Roy's probably gonna complain about being sick of his face (unless you're not into writing facetwin drama, which is fair enough). Every time March calls it soccer Roy will die a little inside... Looking forward to playing with you!
