Hi all! Kris here, brand new to the game and bringing with me this time-and-space traveling weirdo (when he's not trapped in strange new worlds)! How best to describe him...

Elevator pitch about the (Eleventh) Doctor: Baby is also eldritch figure from dawn of time.

The Doctor is a Time Lord, hailing from Gallifrey (we don't talk about Gallifrey...). This version of the Doctor is totally a madman with a box, eccentric, loves bowties, fish fingers and custard, finds delight in even the smallest of things, and is a relentless optimist on the surface. Peel back the layers and he's a sad and lonely old man.

Curious and compassionate, he can also be A LOT with his energy, his strangeness, his sometimes weird and at times unintentional lack of etiquette/boundaries in the pursuit of knowledge or getting to know people. For as long as he's been around humans, it's clear when you meet him that he's very not human (though he LOOKS human, Time Lords came first etc etc). The Doctor journeys through time and space and always tries to help where he can. In a universe of infinite wonders, he's a questionable tour guide (4/10 on Yelp reviews might be generous) but heartfelt and kind and a protector of all that's good. To quote him, he's never met anyone who isn't important.

Hi Kris! Welcome to the game. I have such a soft spot for the 11th doctor, I'm so happy he's here!

I'm Chase. I play Holland March, who is a loser PI from the 70s but I also play Heartman, who is a scientist from a post apocalyptic America who would find the Doctor absolutely delightful. Social norms? What on earth is that, there's Neat Stuff to babble about!

Eeyy, it's Amy, back with another traumatized badass lady after sacrificing La'an to the Darkwalker in January. I'm happy to be back and looking forward to all the things.

Daisy here, however, is the furthest thing from happy about this situation. She's a millennial hacker spy turned part-alien superhero from Marvel's unloved stepchild show Agents of SHIELD, and she just finished saving the world again, so being stuck in this frozen hellscape seems like a really shitty reward for (probably?) dying to save all of humanity. Especially since she no longer has access to her powers, which is really going to throw her off-balance for obvious and more traumatic reasons.

Because yeah, my poor girl has a whole suitcase full of trauma she carries around with her. She grew up an orphan in and out of foster homes, never finding anywhere to call home until she joined SHIELD, only to have it fall apart when HYDRA came out of the woodwork. She got the "surprise! you're part-alien" news right around the time she found her parents (her dad was a Jekyll & Hyde serial killer and her mom tried to destroy all of baseline humanity), followed by a brainwashing incident, being trapped in a hellscape alternate reality, and traveling to an apocalyptic future she maybe helped cause. In the month before she arrived in-game, her father-figure mentor was brought back from the dead as a highly advanced robot, she time-traveled through 90 years of SHIELD history, was tortured by a delusional rich kid who stole her powers, watched said rich kid kill her mother, and blew up an entire invading alien fleet from the inside right after connecting with a long-lost sister and an almost romance. She's really, really Tired, and she's going to go through serious withdrawal without her laptop and phone.

Since even most MCU fans haven't seen AOS, I have a little playlist of videos for anyone who wants a glimpse of Daisy in action! (I'm obviously biased, but imo she has one of the best hero's journeys of the entire MCU.)

Hello Trace, I'm Jhey and welcome to the game! I have two horror guys here: Edward Little from the Terror and Konstantin Veshnyakov from the movie Sputnik. Edward's a nervous Victorian naval officer who has a tendency to nanny young people even if he can barely understand what any of their Modern Lingo means (what is this skateboard you speak of....) so he could be fun(ny) to toss as Peter sometime!

Konstantin is a space commander from the 80's who picked up a gnarly alien parasite on a space mission, and it's here with him in game, so "suddenly facing a frightening change that completely alters the course of your life afterwards" is very much A Theme tm for him as well. He also is very Hero Type (and literally is known as a Hero in his culture, he even has a medal....) so there's some nifty common ground there that could be fun to play around with!

Hello, everyone!! My name's Nico (she/they) and I'm new to the game! Bringing with me a pool noodle of a man, Robert Joseph Maccready from Fallout 4. For the uninitiated, Fallout is a Bethesda RPG, set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Maccready here is a companion in FO4, but he previously appeared in FO3 as everyone's least favourite foul-mouthed child mayor of a settlement made up entirely of kids — they get kicked out at 16.

Survival is something he's used to. He's spent his whole life — twenty-two years of it! — in an irradiated and hostile wasteland, and he's picked up a few skills along the way to make himself useful. A sniper and mercenary by trade, he's no stranger to the harsh realities of the world, and the result is morals as flimsy as his spine... but at least he's cleaned up his language a lot in the ten years since we first saw him, even if he's gained some additional trauma. Unfortunately, he's not going to appreciate being so far from home; he's got a sick kid back in the wasteland, and was in the middle of seeking out a cure for the Mystery Illness™ when he woke up here.

Thank you to everyone who tagged me on the TDM, I honestly wasn't expecting such a response. I'm happy to consider those threads canon, and likewise to continue tagging them if there's still interest. Otherwise, I'm excited to see what else is in store! yo! This is Kates (the player of Cornelius Hickey / friendsfordinner ) and I'm bringing in yet another goddamn LIAR of a man. This is Alexander Hilbert from the podcast Wolf 359. He's a grumpy Russian spaceman who's spent the past few years doing multiple tour of duties upon a poorly maintained and horrifically understaffed space station. He has an aggressive accent, a voice that just got deeper and deeper every season, at least two fake names, a body count that's probably in the double digits, and a personality that's just this meme. He's a medical doctor and does want to help people but hey, aurora, you took him away from his favorite ethically nonexistent horrific virus project, what gives???

Hey friends, this is Kota! So what we wanted was MORE Russians, right? Well, here's a new one! She's also a doctor, so Goodsir can finally take a little time off (lololol). She's from the World of Watches series, which is a Russian book but also two movies that are wild. I mean...really wild. If you can find them...I wish you luck.

Anyway, her world is basically divided into humans and Others. The Others are anyone with powers, including shape shifters and vampires, and they are further divided into two sections. Dark Others (Day Watch), who use their powers for themselves, and the Light Others (Night Watch), who use their powers for others. The two balance each other out in order to maintain order for the humans and ensure that humans never know.

The fun point is that vampires are automatically Dark Others and Svetlana is VERY wary of them. Even though she is powerless here, it's not like that paranoia goes away!

Anyway, super excited to play with her again after a long hiatus and you can always hit me up on plurk or discord as waningsunflower.

INCREASE THE RUSSIANS! I'm excited to see her around in game and to do more with her! She and Konstantin should definitely hang out more, and he'll have to introduce her to his housemate. I'm sure Vasiliy will be extremely glad for more people to speak to in The Mother Tongue lmaoooo.

I'm sure Kostya will shamelessly flirt with her sometimes because that's just How He Is but genuinely, he'll be glad for more people familiar with their culture. He's been so lonely and desperately needs to socialise... It'll also be interesting to see if anything comes up with his little alien problem, since a lot of those effects might look like vampirism on the surface.... aka he has to feed on blood pretty regularly, uh oh!!

What's up everyone!! I'm Ricks and I'm a compulsive Kirk collector. Over the past ten years I've played several versions of him so it was inevitable that when I watched Strange New Worlds, I was going to pick up Kirk. One of the Kirks. (There are three to choose from in that show alone. It knows what I need.)

So! I bring you Captain James T. Kirk— more specifically, the version from the S2 episode "Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow". This Jim comes from an alternate reality where Khan is murdered when he's just a kid, so the Eugenics Wars never happen, planet Earth ends up being devastated by wars (and probably climate change too lbr) and is uninhabitable at his point in time. Survivors settled on underground colonies on Luna, and since then they've branched out to a few other planets and moons. Humanity's part of United Earth instead of the Federation, and they're currently at war with the Romulans.

Jim was born on a ship, the USS Iowa, and has never been to Earth. That is, until La'an Noonien-Singh lands on his reality (more specifically, his ship, the UEF Enterprise) and they're both transported back to 2022 to stop Khan's murder, thus correcting the timeline. This, of course, means Jim's own reality ceases to exist. But before that, he goes and gets himself shot. So, he's been brought here like three seconds before he dies from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Funnily enough, he and La'an were in Toronto just moments before he woke up here, and Milton is about 30 minutes away. He's going to realize soon that it holds little relevance, considering everyone else comes from all kinds of realities out there, but there's gonna be a bit of a 'huh' moment. Anyway, he's here to survive, help everyone else survive, ignore the fact he's no longer going to exist the moment he leaves this place and mourn the death of his not-quite-girlfriend La'an.

He's got a permissions post on his journal, as well as his app if anyone's curious for more details about him. Or just go watch the episode, it's great and it pretty much stands on its own.

PS: Regarding TDM threads! from what I understand (but correct me if I'm wrong), only the arrival threads can be considered game canon. I'm happy to roll with that, even if it might take some fudging in terms of timeline or whatever, we can handwave minor changes so Jim doesn't have like four different "where am I" arrival scenarios. But please let me know if you'd rather not treat our thread as game canon, so we can scrap that and start fresh!

Daisy and Jim have so many similarities to their stories that her conspiracy theory mind is running on overtime to try to figure this place out, and that's too much fun to pass up. And I would love to toss these two together more if you're up for it, because your writing is exquisite and you have this Jim down perfectly.

Greetings, all! Carly here (player of Lanfear), with another, very different dark-haired beauty to add to the Singillatim group. Snow White is from the realm of the Fables comic book series — more specifically, the video game The Wolf Among Us, which serves as a prequel to those events. Yes, she is that Snow White, although it would be much better for everyone involved if you didn't make any jokes or references to the Seven Dwarves around her (they're actually trash in her canon). Also, she used to be married to Prince Charming, then divorced him after she caught him cheating on her with her sister Rose Red.

While she and the other Fables — including Bigby Wolf (bigbaddy) once existed in their own world separate from humans, a threat known as the Adversary forced most of them out of their home and into the human world, where they now live in a community fittingly called Fabletown. Snow started off working as an assistant to other Fables in higher positions of power, but after the events of the first TWAU game uncovered some pretty heavy corruption within Fabletown's government, she's now been made deputy mayor and is trying not to let onto the fact that she sometimes feels a little in over her head with all this new responsibility! Luckily, she has Fabletown's sheriff, Bigby, to give her an assist when she needs it, even if they often butt heads over the right approach to things more often than not. (If you know the Fables comics, you know where these two end up, but right now, they're more in that will-they-won't-they space and pretty strongly in denial about any deeper feelings for each other.)

Snow is a bit of a natural-born leader and has few qualms about asserting herself that way, so she'll want to pitch in and help this new community she's found herself inhabiting in whatever way she can, whether that means being more of an organizer or assisting with other folks' efforts — but ultimately, I want her to meet as many people as possible!

Edward has become pretty fond of and reliant on Bigby, and he'll be very pleased to learn that someone else from his world is here! They've been forming a little law enforcement team-up along with some others, and Snow's personality sounds like something he would absolutely find refreshing (he craves leadership, please, more people tell him what to do....) He's already been kind of falling into his Supportive Lieutenant Role towards Bigby (reporting information to him.... he loves being organised and Taking Notes of Things) and it could be cute if he ended up doing that for Snow, too. No matter what I'd love for him to meet her!

Hi everyone! I’m Devi and I play baby vampire Jessica Hamby. She was only 17 when she turned, and her current vampire age is roughly 2 to 3 weeks old. That’s right, she’s practically a newborn! Unfortunately she never had the best vampire role models around so she never learned how to be a responsible vampire until someone gets killed. But that’s just how it works in vampire societies.

Vampiric issues aside she’s a sweet girl. She’s super empathetic to people who endured abuse (as it reminds her of her own physical, emotional, and religious abuse in her human life) and once she’s friends with your character she’s ride or die, even to the point to facing the sun.

Though True Blood is an absurd show that’s all about gore and tits, it touched on a lot of sensitive subjects. On Jessica’s side there’s the abuse I’ve mentioned, but there is a lot of mention of hunger and eating disorders, but with an unusual twist. In True Blood “mainstreaming” is a vampire’s way of avoiding drinking from humans and instead drink TruBlood, a synthetic blood drink for vampires, though in the show mainstreaming had parallels of promoting abstinence. As Jessica hated the taste of TruBlood and prefer to feed on humans, this tend to get her in a lot of conflicts. Being vampire who is barely learning how to curb her hunger this will come up a lot.

Edward is a Victorian naval officer who does not handle The Horrors well but tries his best... He's ended up as the Hapless Nanny of a handful of young people and it would be extremely funny if he ended up nannying an actual baby vampire, that would be a new one LMAO.

And Konstantin is a commander cosmonaut from the early 80's, who ended up with a gnarly alien parasite that is here with him in game, and some of his associated symptoms here can seem a lot like vampirism (namely that he's having to consume blood to keep it fed...) He's dealing with a lot of "Just Became A Monster" upsets and how to adjust to this new lifestyle of his, so he can absolutely empathise with "fellow monsters". It's an angle I'm extremely interested to explore in him, so I think they could be interesting cr as well!
